hey friends. I've had a long weekend and I'm exhausted, but I'm also going through one of those phases when my insomnia is worse than usual.
DH and DSIL when to deer camp Saturday morning (with their tall snakes boots on) and didn't get back until late afternoon. they weren't able to get DH's deer stands taken down because there are trees down across the trails and no one had their heavy duty chain saws with them. so instead, they concentrated on clearing out the camp cabin and got that about 80% accomplished. later in the evening DSIL and DH moved two very large, heavy pieces of furniture that I've wanted done for months. it was really good to see them and especially good that my DD is feeling well and not experiencing any major issues right now.
I have a friend who went from here (where we had a heat index of 103) to Steamboat Springs , Colorado for a little vacation trip where she experienced 2 or 3 feet of snow. the heat & humidity here has been so bad that I have brought in the extra stand fan to help cool the house down.
my brother is coming over tomorrow for a tomato donation because I've gotten to the point that I can't eat them all, even though I'm eating tomatoes every day.
I'm going to try to sleep again now.
sending big blessings to all.
here's a My Angel shrimpboat sunset in Biloxi's back bay.
have a peaceful evening y'all.

Our Lake Superior vacation is a dud. Cold, windy, rain; plus the James Patterson book I brought along isn't at all believable. It's called The Chef about an ex cop who is trying to save New Orleans from a terrorist attack. Title comes from the fact that he operates a food truck with his ex wife. I just want to go home!

@Auntg , I’m sorry...any chance things will get better as far as the weather? I hope so. James Patterson was one of my favoriite authors. I loved and read most, if not all of his Alex Cross series. Haven’t read any for awhile.
@viva923 , that poor little girl. I hope she wasn’t hurt too bad.....

Good evening all!
Sorry you are dealing with insomnia again, @MariotaMurielle At least your extra tomatoes will be put to good use.
@LTT1 The lack of electricity reminds me of that Joni Mitchell song - ‘Don’t it always seem to go that you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.’
Glad you are cooling down again.
We are unseasonably warm today here with T storms coming in later tonight. It was pleasant here today & our A/C is going.
@Auntg Sorry to hear the weather isn’t cooperating for you on your vacation.
When we had rain on a day on our vacation, we went to the movies.
@SleeplessinSD Your Monday picture is cute!
@viva923 Hope the little girl is okay.
