@possummink:  I noticed she hasn't posted in awhile and I miss hearing from Snappy, Benzi, and halfpint1. I am hopeful they have been able to move on and just busy so they forget to let us know they are okay.

Speaking of birds I don't know if I mentioned we had hummingbirds here that do not migrate and I have been feeding them for over a year. I guess the word got out I had to put up another feeder as I have at least 12 to 14 who come everyday to eat.The feeders onlt accomidate 5 at a time. I love watching them they are so pretty. One has a red head very unusual. I make my own sugar water for them, someome mentioned to me the red food you can buy may have dye in it for the coloring.  Makes a long dark winter day a little more acceptable to have them flying in and out. I have noticed they eat a lot I have to put up new about every two to three days.

 I hope you are doing well. Stay safe and healthy.

@Silkeej

Silkeej,   I know what you mean about being hopeful that our friends who aren't posting are doing ok.   I often wonder what ever happened with Renee, aka Halfpint.   She posted so often and then nothing.  I am so concerned about her and hope that she's ok.   Things were so unsettled for her for some time.  The noises she heard.  I do miss her and her newsy posts.

I know Snappy doesn't post much and understand why.  I hope all is going well with her.  I'm glad her daughter is retired and with her more.

You do have a lot of hummingbirds.   I don't feed them but do try to plant flowers and blooming shrubs and bushes that they'd like.  I do have them  but only one or two.  Ours are long gone for the Winter months.   Enjoy those little winged jewels.

Be safe and well.  Have a  good week.
