when did people start saying "no worries", "no problem", and "of course", in reply to a thank you? it's a little irritating to me, with "of course" being the worst! like, huh?

a proper "you're welcome" is becoming obsolete among the younger generation.

How much younger are you talking about? My generation says all of those things and I'm 46.

I say "no problem" all the time, or even "no problemo." And I'm a lot older than 46!

I'm a senior citizen and I say all those things, including "you're welcome".

Ugh, I hate the expression "no worries".  I don't know why; just grates on my nerves.

@Citrine1

At first, I hated the expression "no worries." It was as if it was used incorrectly. For instance, once a young man brought the wrong item for my husband to try on. "No worries(?)... I will go get the other one.?  Wrong use

Since when should a customer have worries about a SA going to get the cOrrect item?

When I lived in England they rarely ever say your welcome or anything,  I don't care what they say here as long as they say something.

The phrase "you're welcome" never made any sense to me.  I say "thank you", and you say "you're welcome".  I am welcome to what exactly?

oh! I'm pretty surprised by the replies! I've only heard it said by teens and maybe those in their twenties. I say thank you a lot, therefore I hear all those replies. I'm still not used to it I guess.

Thank you.

Thank you for saying thank you.

Thank you for saying thank you for saying thank you.

(I'll take those other choices anytime)
