@qvcaddition  I have a great vet! She's a gem. About 4 or 5 years ago, I went out in the yard and saw "something" - I didn't even know what it was, at first - I thought it was a pillow or a scarf - I got closer and it was a tiny little DOG! A little gold and white dog. Someone had dropped it in our yard! It just laid there. It was all dirty and frail-looking. I couldn't believe it - I took it inside, then we took it to the vet - it had a big tumor on its neck - she told us to leave it there and she'd take care of it - so we did. I called back in a couple of days to see what we owed her for the medical care, she told me "No Charge," and that she had found an animal shelter for this very pitiful, elderly dog, people who take in senior dogs who are DYING, and care for them.

I was so happy I think I cried....

There's a lot of people to JUST DON'T GET IT, they don't care about sick little dogs.

There's something wrong with people like that!

Oh, I wish I had a vet like yours.  Two of my good ones retired.  I'm glad you found the poor little thing.  I wish I was younger to be able to get another dog when mine goes "Over the Rainbow Bridge".  A senior dog of course.

So many cruel people with animals. These people should get the same treatment.  If fthe owner had given better care to the dog, it proberly would not had gotten so sick.

I was reading yesterday about a dog that was left in the garage for six years. You could hardly see the face of the dog for all the hair on the body. I could not finish article.  I can't watch dog movies, even funny ones, because I cry.

My sister is not cruel to animals, but she said, I treat my dog like a baby. I said, she is my baby.  The animals are so faithful and loving and accept you.  They don't turn on you, like people.

She did take good care of her dog, like I had mentioned. I even said to her, look how you kept yours alive for two more years with good treatment.

I hope yours is feeling better and enjoyed her ice cream. Mine loves yogurt, the ice cream kind.

Their is a movie called, A Dog's Purpose.  I can't watch it, even though it looks good. The dog gets old and dies, and  through the years keeps coming back as another dog.  I would cry, everytime it dies.

When my grandson and his wife were going to Hawaii for two weeks, they asked me to watch their little maltese.  They gave me a dog that was dying.

It couldn't eat or walk.  I took it to my good vet. It had an ear infection, two bad teeth and a few other things. The vet like yours, pulled the teeth, gave antibotics and I hand fed the dog good food.

The dog was so small, I carried it in my arms when I took Melanie for a walk.  By the time they came back, the dog was walking, gained weight, and  wagging tail.

I asked if I could dog sit once a week and they agreed.

Then they went to Mexico for a couple weeks and I had the dog again.

They told me the minute their car was near my house the dog would jump all over in the car and when they opened the door it ran up my walkway.

Then they got mad at me, said I was trying to take their dog away. I wasn't. They both worked and i was trying to give the dog some pleasure and not be alone all the time.  I never got to see the dog again and it died a few months ago. When my son told me, I really cried.

Sorry, didn't mean to go on and on.

I also like cats, but you can do things with a dog, although a cat is good company.  Take care and give the dog a big hug for me.

@qvcaddition  I would've had a hard time handing that little dog back!

I know what you mean, I can't watch sad shows about dogs, etc....there's a FB group right now bringing little dogs to safety from China and I'm afraid to read too much about it or look at the photos because I can't stand the thought of what they may have gone through.

I have no time for ignorant, unfeeling people are do not care about these little beings.

There's something seriously lacking in their character.

ITA.  If they are caught, they should get the same treatment.  During Covid people got animals and from the news a lot are being returned.

When I volunteed at the Animal Shelter, we had to screen people, but that was years ago.  I hope they still do that, but I'm afraid, they are so anxious to place the animals, they might not be as strict. The animals are included in my prayers along with humans.

Well, I just signed up for Tai Chi starting the 13th for five weeks. Free at the library.

I'm not to happy with the book club. The people are nice, but leave right after. My sister thought there would be a coffee gathering after, but nothing.

I don't care for the books so far.  Stories about certain groups not being privileged.

My son gave me a good book to read about the fire in Hawaii recently.

An investigation about what really took place from interviews of people that were in it.  Horrible and seems political. Can't say more on here.

If you are interested, Amazon has it and you can read some of it like Amazon lets you do when you want more info. on a book.

Just got back from walk in between the rain.  Now going on treadmill and bike.

I have to hide from Melanie between 1:30 and 3, because she will hound (pardon the pud), me to eat dinner and it's too early, so I go in garage and do my machines. xo Enjoy each day. I thank God when I wake up in the morning.

@qvcaddition  Hope you're doing well, sorry to hear your book club is a bust; I don't see the point in people getting together unless they have a social time. Perhaps before the official meeting starts? Say, 15 minutes before the meeting is officially supposed to begin.

I had a good weekend with Mr. Boop, of course, he had to return to work and I hate it when he has to leave, but he's making our living.

My left shoulder is bothering me a little this morning - I had frozen shoulder there some years ago, and I doubled up on the plank time yesterday so I will baby it today. I certainly don't want to get a frozen shoulder again!

I'm going to give Liza, my Frenchie, a quick bath in a bit then probably run some errands today - our high is supposed to be 55! Woo Hoo

Have a fantastic day! xo  💜

I won't be going anywhere today, I started getting dressed and oh my gosh, the pain in my shoulder is awful when I move my arm a certain way! I wish I'd put ice on it last night! I've got ice on it now and it feels good. I don't think I'll be able to lift Liza and Pansy today unless I can do it with one arm!

So sorry for the pain. I really can relate to it.  Ice does help.  I sit on ice at night for the pain.

We had so much rain yesterday, I had to stay in, roads were flooded.

My area was safe.

I did my yoga stretch and didn't have to sit on ice last night or put an ice pack on the back of my head for the neck and head pain.

Woke up this morning with no pain at all.

Mine comes from not stretching enough after my exerise and of course being elderly.

Your pain sounds llike the yoga stretch might not help it, but stetching after exercise is a must and not just a quick stretch, but a good 30 mins or so.

Just try to rest if you can and yes no lifting.  See if you can stretch it a little.

Sending prayers your way to speed up the healing, but ice and rest help alot as you are aware.  You know what is best. Hugs.

Hey, would you believe it actually IS better? I'm so happy and got some errands ran today, it was 50-something degrees, very nice. Makes me eager for spring! I had to go to the vet and get a med refill for Liza.

My husband's Pug, Pansy, is so cute.

I was talking to her today, telling her what we were going to do, and if I tilted my head to the right, she would tilt her head that way, and if I tilted my head to the left, she would follow. So adorable! I guess that's a Pug thing!

  XO 💚

So glad you are feeling better.  Your dogs are so cute.

My son came over today, the one that always helps me with cooking something or repairs.

He is retired and plays golf alot. My garbage disposal broke and he was going to replace it, but I don't need one and the cost is high. So he redid the plumbing under the sink. He retired from the city a couple years ago. He was an inspector in construction and can do anything. He is the one that gave the cheese cake receipe, which I made again, so he could take it home.  He is also a great cook.

He fixed my frig. last month and now the plumbing under the sink.

It would have cost me a fortune  if I had to call a plumber.  Years, ago a plumber came out .fixed a 35cent part and charged me 300.00.

I have lived in this house for 47 years.  Brought it when it was being built.

A new roof two years ago cost me 19,000. That he didn't want to tackle, but he stayed an inspected everything they use and charged. I went with a very good company.  I paid for the materials seperatly, because a couple of women paid the roofer, not mine, but the companies they used during covid went out of business and they were stuck with the material bill.

The roofers didn't pay.for the materials.  So I went and paid the material company seperate.

That is where I learned this happen to these people from the material company.  The poor women had a lein put on their homes. You really have to read the fine print.

Anyway, enjoy the good weather.  I had a lot of yard clean up today from my neighbors trees.  I wish they would trim them.  Getting too old for all the work I did.  Good exercise though.

Have a wonderful evening and give those cuties a hug for me.  My poor Melanie has dementia I think.  Hugs

Hey @qvcaddition how are you? Last night was insane, about 12:30 something happened - all I can figure is that it was a cloudburst; I have NEVER heard anything like that before! Good news is, no damage done but I hope I never experience that again! I had a pretty good day today, my vet is trying to adjust Liza's antibiotics as we aren't sure this one is working! I took delivery of a Dooney & Bourke Florentine small satchel the other day that I absolutely LOVE, are you into handbags? Take care xo *Boop* 🌹
