Good Sunday morning Boop. Glad you are feelling settled. What kind of work does Mr. Boop do? You don't have to answer if it's too personal.
I asked because both my sons in their late 60's. One retired a couple of years ago from being an inspector in the city, so he gets a good pension, no SS. he was 62 when he retired. Now 64.
The Other one still working and going to retire in two years at age 67.
Do you have children.? We might have spoken about a daughter, but It may have been someone else when I was online here with Tennisbuf.
I hope she is OK.
The sun shining here today and can get a good walk in. The bottom of one foot is really hurting, so I need to email my DR. to get a podiatry appt.
Other than that, feeling good.
I go back to programs that make me feel good, because there is so much negativity on Tv.
This morning while on the computer, I was listening to Barbra S. on utube.
She has a new allbum called Encore with people singing duets with her that I didn't reallize had a good singing voice. The actor Patrick Wilson could sing. Also Melissa McCarthy and many others like Jamie Fox. I love Streisand singing.
Her son Jason sings pretty good and looks so much like his father Elliott Gould.
Well , time to get going and start my day.
I know how important Journaling is to do. I have many through the years I read and see how some things worked themselves out, while others I'm still hoping on. I also have a prayer journals.
Have a good peaceful day and give hugs to Liza. Is your husands dog with him or you? Hugs xo.

Hey @qvcaddition a quiet day but a lovely day; I took Liza and Pansy to McDonald's and would you believe Liza ate both the hamburgers? She was just gobbling! Mr. Boop told me later that Pansy doesn't like them. Speaking of Mr. Boop, he was happy because he moved into a new, different house on his job site and it has 3 huge, overstuffed recliners - he'd never slept in a recliner before, so I told him he should - today he told me how great it was! He said we have to have recliners now! LOL I took a nap with Liza and Pansy today; it was very restful. I usually don't take naps. I saw a groundhog running through the yard today, it lives under our storage building. It was sort of cute. Have a sweet evening, you and Mel xo

Glad about your restful day. I use to take Mel to McDonald's all the time, but now they are too expensive. We did have a Baskin and Robbins the other day and she love it. That's expensive, but so good.
I have a couch that has auto recliners on both ends. Love seat to match with auto recliners. Because PGE so high here in Calif. I pulled the plug on all, but the one I sit on. Mr. Boop is right, so comfortable. I fall asleep watching TV every night on it. I goes almost flat like a bed with all the buttons. I brought it four years ago at Lazy Boy. Has positions for head, back, legs. Get one like that and you will never go to bed, although I do when I wake up in the middle of the night.
I have never seen a ground hog. That's great.
Went to Costco today and grabbed a few things. Now my grocery shopping is finish for the month. I order Mel's food from chewy for the month. I hate grocery shopping. The prices so high. The chicken I roasted Sunday will be finished tomorrow. Then I made the stock for a few more days..
I nap in afternoon sometime and it feels so good, but usually got to much to do. That's why I fall asleep watching TV.
Hasn't stopped raining.
Love your picture. Thank you. Someday I'll get one on here. I send a lot of pictures on my phone when I text, to people, but don't have any to send on computer.
Will ask my sister how to get it from phone to computer.
Have a great evening. Hugs to all xo.

Boop, is everyjthing OK with you and the dogs? Just checking.xo

Oh hey @qvcaddition yes, we're fine!
I left a message with my vet about the possibility/feasibility of surgery on Liza's vertebrae - she hasn't responded, for some reason.
It would be expensive but if it would restore her mobility, it would be worth it.
I guess I'll have to call again.
I'm excited for spring! The trees are budding out and everything is getting very green.
Not a lot going on here. Looking forward to a peaceful evening. Give Mel a hug for me. xo

Hi Boop, you might get a double message. They did something with my message I was writing. Glad everyone OK, except for the surgery. Hope for you the Dr. OK,s it.
We are told no more rain and my climbing roses are budding yellow flowers.
I just got through doing yoga stretch and so relaxed and my neck feels so good.
Mel has been sleeping alot lately. She usually watches me doing whatever exercise I do, but she stayed in the living room sleeping. Of course she ate a good dinner. Not much happening here. Running errands tomorrow.
I made spegetti for dinner. Ate at 3 so, going to have some yogurt, nuts and fruit now and watch some TV. This weekend have to wash the car and do outside work.
Let me know what the Dr. Says about the surgery. Have a good evening and hugs to you and your babies. Sorry, I'm so relaxed, I can't think. xo.

Hey @qvcaddition the vet said she could give me a referral but didn't sound optimistic about the results. I'll be at my other vet (my vet here) and see what he says. (Probably the same thing!)
She is just so helpless - it's like having a newborn baby! 24/7 care and I can't leave her alone. It gets to be a lot but what can I do? If something ever happens to her I'll miss her terribly, even the intensive care she requires.
It's heartbreaking to look at her sometimes but she isn't in pain and she does have happy times; when I take her for drives she loves it.
Mr. Boop was talking about getting her one of those little carts paralyzed dogs use; but she wouldn't be able to use it as she cannot even sit up over a minute or two. She is too weak for anything like that.....xo

Boop. Don,t despair. I told you my sister dog was the same with not being able to use back legs. They had to carry him all over, but they also had a baby stroller for him. They even had to help him to urinate. He was a lot of work and the vet wanted him put down, but they said no. For two years they took him with them in their van on camping trips and like Liza he was such a good travler, he loved it.
Like Lisa he wasn,t sick, just could no longer walk. They came to visit me from their home in Washington, dog and stroller included. They could not leave him with anyone because he was a lot of work.
You love her, so get a stroller so you can make it a little easier. Enjoy walks with her and she can get out and see things. I'm having problems with Melanie, more work because she is old. We love our babies and will do anything we can to make them comfortable and give them lots of love, because they give us unconditional love and trust.
An operation may not help her and put her through too much stress.
Liza is lucky to have you. The love she is getting and the love you get from her. God Bless you for taking such good care of her and giving her so much joy and love. Give her a big hug from me and a paw from Melanie. Also a big hug for you. XO

@qvcaddition Oh, thank you. That makes me tear up. It helps a lot to have someone who understands.
I think you're right about a stroller. I found one on Amazon that would probably work and is reasonably priced.
When we were out today, a lady in the parking lot of the store saw Liza and absolutely flipped her wig! She is another Frenchie lover! Then when I went in the store, these people were pushing a little dog around in a cart. I asked them if it was a service animal and they said yes, but it looked like it was just out of the puppy stage!
One thing that has helped, has been thinking of her as a newborn baby. LOL - if you had a newborn, you wouldn't mind all the extra work they require.
I just gave Liza some ice cream a while ago.
I'm going to go and check out that stroller again. I'll have to put pillows in it, so she can be propped up.
xo

Good Morning Boop. It was 76 here yesterday and a beautiful morning today. I actually have to do yard work from the heavy winds yesterday and water the roses.
I'm glad you are getting a stroller. That is what saved my sister from carrying her dog so much around the house.
Funny when yjou mentioned the lady had her dog in a cart and it was a service animal.
Melanie has a Kaiser ID Card because When she was young, and being such a quiet good dog, well trained from whoever had her before me. She rescued me when I went to the humane society to bring some towels. I took her home. Anyway, I was volunteering at Kaiser and they had therapy dogs come in to visit patients. I inquired how to make her a therapy dog. I spent two weekends at a facility with her for training. They would put her on a bed with a fake patient to see how she acted. Then someone in a wheelchair and an IV pole. They put fake pills on the floor to see if she would eat them, she didn't and passed all the test they put her through.
It cost me 200.00 to make her an official therapy dog. She then had to spend a month at Kaiser for training one day a week to see how she acted with live patients. She passed with flying colors. She got her volunteer card, coat with her name, leash, and her and I then spent one day a week visiting paients that like to see a dog. I would dress her with pink ribbons in her ears, pearls around her neck, etc. She is already cute, but dressing her up made the patients smile.
Today she is allowed to go whereever i go, but I don't abuse the privlege.
People can get it on line for about 5 bucks now, but she was a real bonified Therapy dog, just to old to do it anymore.
She was not a service dog. That is difference, but a Therapy dog. A service dog is for disabled people. They help their owner, that can't help themselves. Some people abuse it today. All our animals are good therapy for their owners.
I know Liza is in good hands with you and loves her ice cream and will enjoy the stroller, because she can go more places with you. You are a good mama.
I cannot look at the advertisement of the abuse animals on TV. I giive money to all of them, but mostly to my hometown humane society and Silver Paws. That is an organization for seniors that can't afford vet bills.
They will pay for a blood and urine test at the vet. Not meds, but they went over and above for me in Dec. Melanie got that awful vet that they recommended and the bill was 500.00 and this is after I had declfined a lot of his services. They paid for it.
When Melanie goes over the Rainbow, I will contribute 3 months of her food bill to cover that cost. Then once a month I will contribute a small amount for helping me so much with her vet bills. Take care and hugs to Liza, Mr. Boops dog and you. xo
