"man running toward u, or away" (use google)

This is the "Optical Illusion" that is currently circulating . . .

Wha'cha think?

Do u see "Shadow Man" *running towards,* or *running away*  from u??

. . . . . (I'm trying to keep this thread from being removed, for any reason..)

To me that man is not moving. He just appears to be standing on one leg.

Do you see the man running towards or away from you in this optical illusion?

Since the angle of his knee appears bent toward the front of his body, I say he's running away.

I saw this on 'The View' this morning.

My first reaction was - away.

I can also see how it could be viewed either way, though.  The hands/feet and reflection don't really give anything away.

He appears to be running away toward the light as shadow indicates.  However, it looks like he needs pants!

@TwinkleBell

As being a long distance runner for many decades, and also recording many runners on treadmills, from all angles!

I know, from the left leg as shown, is in the motion just prior to toe plant. That also indicates to me, he is running, not jogging at at slow pace. Jogging(say 12 minutes per mile ) your heel is first to hit the ground in front of you.  With fast running(8 mpm) it is almost always the toe that hits first. Also I am easily able to view the heel and heel counter! Not so when filming a runner from the front.

Do many women wear high heel shoes to make the front or the back of their lower leg look better(ie) the calf muscles. It is clearly obvious to me from the width of his lower leg(from knee down), that is not the front of a lower leg. Also were it the front of the leg, the Tibia Bone would be very prominent during a runners gait.

I could add more about the gait and arm swing and position of hand and fingers, but I think I pretty well covered it. Had it not been for my video taking and viewing many runners from front/back/left/right angles, it would have taken me a couple minutes longer to figure it out.

That will depend where I’m at, in front or behind him
