Florida has many, many lakes to enjoy sitting under a tree and enjoying!  Your post is very well said.  Find an area that offers what you enjoy!

I have to chime in...many, many years ago I moved as a teenager from the Northeast to the deep South...talk about culture shock!

 

I looked at it as an adventure and I had someone tell me..."we knew you missed your old friends and your old home, but you never compared or talked about how things were done "back home", you just joined in!"

 

Now I know it is easier as a young person, but for heaven's sake "join in"!!  Don't compare!!  Embrace the adventure!!

I was going to suggest joining the local senior center they go on trips and you will meet people.

Happiness is ALWAYS an inside job,
Don't assign anyone else that much POWER
in your life!!!
