@birdmama, Yes, I can relate to candles burning for many causes.  I burn a flameless candle before my most precious statue of our Blessed Mother, asking for her petitions.  Was brought up in a strict Catholic family and sent to a Catholic girls school for good measure.  I am a strong believer in the power of prayer.  No guarantee of what we are praying for, but we always need strength and grace to get through bad times.l

He's still asleep. The sugery is at 10. They said we should expect to be there a total of 3 to 4 hours.

@IamMrsG   My dear Mrs G.  I had that candle going after I posted the inquiry back to Mary Bailey and the little tag in front of it was Mr. Bailey.  When I prayed I said I trust you know who the woman behind Mary Bailey is.  This is for her beloved.
