Hello to all of you ladies.
Still dealing with the details of life with an ill son. There has been so much going on here that I can't begin to share it all. Presently, he seems to be doing ok except that the cyber knife procedure on his brain tumor has caused swelling. We though he would sail through this process since the tumor was small and has been destroyed but we can never depend on anything completely. Now he has dizzy spells which he never had before. We are hoping that with the continuation of the medication these symptoms will eventually go away. Thankfully, my younger son has helped me keep on top of all this drama .... a big comfort and support. Donn will fly in when necessary for a week or so but she has not been up to par herself these days.
Snappy: The Dr. discovered the blood and infections in my urinary tract have been caused by a super big infection around my uthrea (sp) Have no spell check here. Sorry! Some really strong antibiotics given but they upset my stomach. Next week I will be seeing a specialist to try to discover why I have discomfort under right ribs.
Meanwhile trying to do the grocery shopping and cooking for my son is really a strain on me .... otherwise can only accomplish the duties that are absolutely necessary. Would love to be able to hire someone to help but the money just isn't there. Like you, I stay on the couch whenever possible; sometimes don't even feel like answering the phone. Still driving but don't feel comfortable doing it anymore.either.
I love to hear about how much you are enjoying those little ones ..... loved the years spent with the grandchildren as they grew up. But the 2 gg are in Texas and have never seen them .... little chance that they will come here either. Do you find yourself becoming less and less attached to this present world? I certainly feel that way and think about those who have passed on so much .... there are only a few of my age who are here any more and I regret to say that I don't get out to church ... it hurts so much not to have that fellowship anymore. Nothing is the same around here ... churches are constantly splitting and the gospel is being watered down. Dear old Dr. McGee would not be appreciated here anymore. Signs of the times, my friend! I try not to be too concerned about politics either .... we know Who's in charge anyway. Has your daughter retired from teaching..and how is your other daughter?
No, I haven't heard from any of the ladies who used to post here. Was in touch with Gloria Jean the other day and we are both wondering what happened ... are they well? Neither of us got a response from our last emails.and this is most unusual. Gloria seems to be managing as well as can be expected .... but she does have a lot of concerns too. I know prayers would be welcome. Jubliant who posted with us from from time to time still asks about all of you too.
Time to prepare something for my son to eat ... nothing fancy, just do what I can but he eats twice as much as I do so nothing lasts long.but he is able to pay his share with his pension.
Hugs to all of you. Love you ladies and your concern for one another. It always makes me smile.
God's peace and blessings to all.

Hi Issy: Time is precious for me today but wanted you to know how much I appreciate your posts and messages to me.
Love you, sweet lady. Hope Ms. Lomo is doing well. It seems like all of us are having problems today but thank God for being with us all the way.

Hello, Hilo. Thank you for the update on your son. I was wondering how he was doing. Hopefully by now, the dizzy spells had gone away. I understand the overwhelming feeling that you can get sometimes when you are caring for a love one. You are doing a wonderful job.
I, too have been wondering about the Kindred Spirit Ladies. I hope that all of them of them are doing well. Hello to Selah, Rowan, Lurky, QAnu, Agnes, Delaney, Bathina, Snappy, MsLomo, and Cute. Miss all of you very much.
I have been busy at work and I am shopping around for another car. I will probably get a Honda. It was Simone's birthday yesterday (wig shop lady). I gave her a beautiful Heidi Daus necklace, which she loved. She also wore her birthday tiara that I gave her for Christmas.
MsLomo.....I have Simone "hooked" on Heidi Daus. I purchased an Iris Apfel coat that has Mary Poppins on the back from the Disney movie. It is stunning. Not much else happening........just life.
Hello Snappy, hope to hear from you soon.

Hello everyone. I haven't even looked at the community site since I posted last. Somehow my priorities have changed. For sure there have been lots of stresses for a long time'
I'm sorry your son is having so much trouble with his health. Of course that affects you as his mom. God bless you.
My 3 little baby girls are doing well. Star will be 3 in June. Is like a gorgeous porcelin doll. Sweet, cuddly, but I don't get to see her much or any of them. And now we are all self quarantined. I'm in the most seriously dangerous age group, so everyone wants to stay away of course.
Haven't seen Sunny since we all got together for the family pictures. Just beginning to see some of them. Not overwhelmed with how they look, but there are some of me with the girls that I will treasure as long as I'm here and hope future generations will appreciate.
Sky has started growing and developing. She has blue eyes. Not much hair and I don't know what color it will be.
She laughs and smiles and turns over. She will be 4 months old on the 25th.
DD#1 has her birthday on the 27th. She will be here tomorrow. I had an appointment with the cardiologist, but they called on Monday to tell me he doesn't accept my insurance any more so I have found a new one, but haven't made any contact as yet. He's in an area we know well and we don't have to use the freeway. Don't know if my dentist will be doing any routine cleaning, but if so, I need to have that done. Churches are closed, ours is on line as are so many others. Restaurants closing except for drive thru.
My DDIL had to have surgery on a non healing spot in the knee where she had replacement surgery. My son is almost 66 which means he can earn whatever he can and not lose his SS. That happened to him and it's been tough.
DD#1 has decided to retire now even though she won't get her full benefits. She submitted her paper work which was accepted. Schools are closed, but tomorrow they will open on line so so will work from home her regular school hours. Today the staff has been texting and emailing trying to set up some way to continuing the kids' education. This is scheduled to last until the week after Easter vacation which will be about a month from now, but many people don't think it will open again. Sorry for all the high school and college grads who won't have ceremonies or parties.
But, life is too precious for taking risks.
My sister had 5 children. Nine grands. One of the boys, 35, is in the hospital completely paralyzed. He is alert and aware, but can't speak or move anything. I can't imagine his terror. The hospital just shut down all visitation. DD#1 and her hubby were there on Sunday and prayed with him and read Scripture. So grateful for that. His mother is beside herself with worry and is not well herself.
I don't know how to spell what they are all but sure he has. Something like Gillian Burre Symdrom. They did the treatment that works on 6 out of 10 people, but he's one of the 4 who didn't benefit. It's just like being buried alive and so terribly sad.
The UTI is here to stay unless the Lord heals me, which He can. There is very little they can do for me. Don't know if it can go systemic and become sepsis, but God knows. I haven't been anywhere since the first of February. It's good to be content to be a homebody.
Say, I bought some things from the Irish shows yesterday. Two of those drums for my son and SIL and the penny whistle for DD. Will save them for birthdays.
We've had quite a bit of rain, and our new roof has weathered the storms. We are grateful we had that done and that it is performing as it should.
We have to put in a new HVac system soon.
The stores out here are nearly empty of everything. If it cleans something, it's not there. And TP is almost impossible to find. We are okay.
Hi cute, Issy, MsLomo, HiLo, and all the KS ladies.

Hello, Snappy. I am so happy to hear from you. Things have changed so much for all of us since we first met. So grateful that you have those three precious little girls to love. I am also happy that DD#2 has decided to retire. That way, she can spend more time with you because I know that you are close to each other. I am so sorry to hear about your sister's grandson.
It is a very scary time for all of us right now. We are not at work.......certain items in the stores are impossible to find. Who knew that toilet paper would be a "hot commodity". I have never experienced anything like this before, and it can be very stressful. Please take care of yourself and know that I love you very much.
Hello, MsLomo.......I miss you very much. Hello Cute......miss you, too. Hi Kindred Spirit Ladies. Take care, and I shall return.

Hello, Issy, I decided to log on to see if anyone has stopped by. Glad to see you.
These are such strange times. So far we have enough TP, but that's just because DD had gone to Costco right after Christmas and stocked up. Still, there is none to be found, so we are grateful. We have enough food, but cleaning products are sold out.
I'm sure it's hard for someone like you who is young and used to being out and about and so active to be at home. Im some ways this reminds me of the day Pearl Harbor was bombed. Everything changed over night. But, it was an enemy we could see. Still, there was rationing and shortages and lots of fear, but a sense of unity and purpose.
I haven't heard anything new about my great nephew. It just makes me so terribly sad to think of him all alone, unable to move or speak.
Yesterday DD and I went to the eye doctor. We had late afternoon appointments made when she was still at school. There were no other patients while we were there and the doc was wearing a mask as were we, and gloves. DD has pink eye. She really needed attention. She's on the Z pack and still waiting for antibiotic eye drops. Has another drop she's using. She's had sore neck and ear and eyes for a couple of weeks. She had a slight fever back then and missed one day at work. Dr. said that's the pink eye. Told me the only way I can avoid it is to keep my fingers out of my eyes, which I am trying hard to do.
Watching the Q quite a bit. It's sort of strange, but I do credit them with trying to keep to the rules so they are safe while staying in business and offering housebound people some products as well as entertainment.
My son started a What'sApp for the family so we can check in each day. Not everyone does, but I like the thought.
So far everyone is doing okay, several are working from home. My son and Star and Sky's daddy have to work outside. I am concerned that they won't do enough to protect themselves and their families, but they are grown men....ah, there is the problem??
I'm so grateful to have DD here. The plan's keep changing as to whether or not to return to school. Tomorrow is their staff meeting which will be held on line so there should be some news. Most of her kids show up and do their paper work, and some of them have gotten creative and made presentations to all the other kids. Fun games, etc. Lots of resources are being offered for nothing to the teachers and parents. She doubts school will ever be the same as it has been. And some of the changes may be much better.
I know you will make the most of the time you have each day, and the time will come when life becomes more normal.
Since I'm basically a home body, I'm okay with this, except that I know a lot of people are dying and others are very ill and many more probably will be.
God bless all of them. Stay safe, dear friends.

My dearest, Snappy......thank you for giving us an update on you and your family. So sorry to hear about your nephew. These are such strange and scary times for all of us. It just goes to show you how fragile life can be.
I am so grateful that you have your daughter there with you because it gives you great comfort to know that. We are all in this together. It is hard staying in the house, and I look around the neighborhood and see so many cars. Every family has at three. Most parking spaces are filled. There is a line outside the grocery stores.....each person standing 6 feet apart, and I went to the bank which has shortened their hours, and they have a mark on the floor where you are supposed to stand. Lucky for me, I got there early.
My family is doing okay, although my SIL is having a hard time of it after the loss of my brother. The groceries are delivered to the door, and she hasn't been out. She is the person who loves to travel and be around people. They used to take a lot of cruises but that will not happen any more.
I miss all of the ladies. Cute had a birthday---happy belated birthday. Hello, MsLomo--miss you terribly. Hello, Hilo, Delaney, Selah, Bathina, Lurky, Agnes, QAnu, Rowan. Hope that everything is okay with all of you.
This has been like an out of body experience for me. Mr. 6'2" has been like a rock for me. Great support and caring. For that, I am grateful. Just hoping that it will end soon.
Take care, and I love all of you very much.

Hello, Issy and Snappy -- and Cute t, belated Happy Birthday to you. March 25! Hope you had lots of fun.
Snappy and Issy, I know you have birthdays coming up -- Snappy on April 24, and Issy on April 27. I wish both of you a very Happy Birthday! Please have a piece (large, please) of cake for me!
@Hilo, I hope you are doing OK, as well as all of the KS Ladies. Hi also to @bathina and @Dawn01 -- I hope I got that @ name right for Dawn/Bassetbabe (with the beautiful sparkling ring her DH gave her -- remember how he put on her seatbelt for her because she didn't want to scratch it).
Such a weird time for everyone. I'm relaxed most of the time, but I can be thrown quickly into a panic when I listen to the news. So, I try to restrict my watching to updates from Dr. Anthony Fauci, my favorite.
I've been to the grocery store a few times (such trips undertaken carefully and nervously, with precautions). It's an ordeal, but necessary.
I had repeated exposure to someone who worked alongside someone else who, as it turned out, tested positive for Coronavirus. This was about four weeks ago. With all of the pollen, I can't tell if I've reacted to the virus or the pollen.
Lots of anxiety for everyone these days, especially for our family members who have been deemed "essential" by their "essential business" employers. It's such a worry as they go into work every day.
Opportunities to clean out closets and drawers, go through photo albums, cook and bake and freeze. I've been doing all that, plus reading -- and naps (without guilt!). Larry David's PSA says it all and is amusing at the same time.
Re amusing, I accidentally found online a very funny comedian, and I watch on YouTube sometimes to cheer myself and relax. His name is Sebastian Maniscalco if you want to Google.
Sending positive thoughts to everyone.

Issy, your experience on the side of the road gave me chills. I hope you got a very reliable car, like the Honda you were going to shop for. Glad your friend Simone relocated her wig shop close to you! You know she loves the Heidi Daus she got from you! Also happy that Mr. 6'2" and you are still together and close. Sorry that your SIL is having such a rough time without your brother, but it's perfectly understandable that she is experiencing deep grief.
Snappy, so sorry about your grand-nephew who can't move or speak. A young man now in a living nightmare from Guillain Barre, or whatever else he may have. Life can be very unfair and cruel.
Also, has DD#2 reconsidered her decision to retire, now that the virus has brought about online teaching from home? She might be able to get through another year or two for her full benefits while working from home.
Again, sending to all.

Hi, MsLomo......good to hear from you. Yes, these are very strange times. I have never felt like this before. It feels like a science fiction movie. When will it end? It changes your outlook on life, etc.
We are all doing well. My brother gave me some TP and I felt like I had received a Christmas present!!! Going stir crazy. At least I am getting enough rest, and I also take a nap without guilt.
Hello to Snappy, Cute, Bathiina, Dawn, Delaney, Selah, Rowan, Hilo, Lurky, Agnes, QAnu, sure do miss all of you. Take care.
