Peek-a-boo Q-Aunties! 😊
Happy Friday, one and all!
@Issy379, so nice to see you, too, and to read you're enjoying time out with your great friends—making more, too, no doubt. Of course you were picked to dance, and then to be serenaded! What song did he sing to you? Was he handsome, this romantic crooner?
Then a new stash of handbags, too. 😍 My weakness with those are the Patricia Nash line, but I own a few Coach bags, too. I picked up my niece's gown after work yesterday. She's going to need a nice clutch or evening bag to go with that. Cleo would have just the thing, but I'll have to search for something when we return from our weekend trip.
The Garden Hopper! 😱😜😂 Thank God you weren’t seriously injured, and but naturally every neighbor and their brother were outside to witness your mortification! Does it ever fail? Sounds like something that would happen to me. It's why I'm not dancing much at the wedding reception. Last time I danced with this group of KS ladies. . . Mike and I nearly went overboard from a yacht. No, can't blame him, nor them—that was all me. 💩
Take care, sweet friend—have a fun-filled weekend! ❤️
Safe travels today, @SelahG and family! Lucky you are to get there early. Enjoy the rehearsal and dinner.
GoT:
Probably not. Jon loves his Queen and didn't blink an eye when Varys was burned to a crisp.
I hope he knows that the next one in front of Drogon is going to be Sansa.
He probably won't care, as long as Daenerys gets to sit on her throne—we should all be happy. 🙄 I remind myself, the writers had no book to go by for the conclusion.
Dad flat out refuses to have his knee cleaned out before KS-Fest. Insisted on the injections only this time, but does have and occasionally uses a brace. Nothing so nice as yours. Something he found at a pharmacy. When you're home and settled, let me know where I can find one of those, please. He's not planning to do much walking/shopping/climbing, etc. You know his interests are the same as your dad's. I'll hang back with him, if necessary—even rent a scooter or wheelchair. Gram will be there to supervise! 👮 She was put out with him last night. He wouldn’t be moved—told her she'd give him another brain aneurism. Grrr. . .
Tyler's bow tie onesie is out now. You could guess. . . Mom found the wee white dress shirt, an actual baby bow tie—navy blue to match the pants and jacket. Wonder how long that will stay clean? He's teething! I see the nub of one bottom tooth breaking thru. The drooling is unbelievable! Gram has been tying one of her aprons around his neck at meal times. 😅 If he gets fussy during the wedding, we'll take him outside. What a set of pipes he has!
Thanks for the tips! ❤️

Hi, @snappyfrappy—I'm relieved to see you checking in. Sorry, tho, that you continue to have the UTI constantly now. . . and you fear the cancer has returned in your nose. Yes, so many things, and Shirley's condition always on your mind, too. Hugs to (((you))) and continued prayers. Perhaps this second culture will reveal more that will help the IDS treat you. Must be a reason she ordered it, and it's good you get to see your PCP next week. More in your element—comfort zone. You can talk to him about all of this. He just may have sound advice or want to adjust your meds for other things.
I have heard wonderful things about the Honda brand—most all models. Your son and dil are blessed to have yours, and with so few miles on it! Love that you kept your designer plates and have them displayed! Knowing you as I do, I can guess the “theme” witnessed therein. It is enough and can speak daily from your outdoor wall! My fil has many old plates and also the vintage metal ad signs tacked to the walls of his barn. Love it!
Hopefully your dil can wait the 2-yrs for the total knee replacement. Don’t think she could keep up with Sunny—who is really blooming now (yay!!) while recuperating.
So you have one dainty, willowy, yet fearless little girl, and a sturdy, Chatty Cathy—perfect! ❤️❤️ Both beautiful in their own ways. I think I've perhaps guessed the name you can't abide for your next one, if a boy. If I'm right. . . Can’t blame you! I'd proceed just as @MsLomo. 😁 Plus, you get to choose his nickname for here.
Ah, I didn’t realize that Star's mom delivered her by cesarean. I understand now, and I'll pray she recovers soon from whatever is ailing her—goes on again full term and has a safe, easy delivery with this one. Sure does sound as tho your granddaughter is planning to have another soon, too! Wonderful for them and YOU.
”Suits,” yeah, I here you! 😠 Those here who prescribe necessary meds (psychiatrists, neurologists, physiologists, etc.) must deal with them—jumping thru hoops of fire daily. Thankful you can afford what you need that helps you. So many can't, and they wonder why suicide is on the rise. (Of course, that's not the only reason, but it's playing a role.)
20 more school days for your dd, and hopefully she'll get her desired kindergarten class next semester. Until then, wishing you both a peaceful and easy summer break. God bless you with His mercy, favor and comfort.
Much love to you always! ❤️

@MsLomo—a blessing it is to see you having a free moment to check in and say “hello.” 😊 Understanding (as well as is possible) all that you and your dh are dealing with; it's so kind of you to think of us. I continue to pray daily for both of you and your son. So grateful you're fully healed and can drive!
Everyone here adores you and enjoys your company so much!
Tyler is pulling up on everything before he's fully learned to crawl. He more scoots and rolls about right now, but with the pulling up and tottering over; I'm in crisis mode a lot! I know this much. . . I'll be eliminating certain pieces of furniture for a time. 😬 He can handle the sippy cup now, but doesn’t care much for his spoon yet. He manages to get his food down, as well as all over him, somehow—with still a lot of help from us. He now weighs almost 18 pounds and has little patience for this anymore:
Those are about to be history, unless he's sleepy. He'll just start kicking us in the gut, or whatever 😚 and protest loudly. The fold-up stroller is fun for a bit. He wants to be down and exploring on his own. Makes a lot of “non-verbal communication” and doesn’t like the word “no,” tho he understands it. 😉 He says, “ma-ma-ma,” “da-da-da” and “na-na-na (for my mom).” Still blowing bubbles (amongst the teething drool) pokes his tongue out, especially at BG, then grins ear-to-ear when she returns it with a loud raspberry! It will be interesting traveling with him this weekend and next month. Thankful I'll have lots of help from our friends. I know he'll be looking everywhere for BG, just like at home when she's away with her grandmother. When the time comes for her to leave us; it's going to be as hard (or harder) on him as it will be for us. Separation-anxiety. 😟 I’m trying to prepare, while wanting no part of it.
Yes, Joy started with the Naots during her Israel trip, as I recall. I have one pair—a low heeled dress shoe in nude—can’t recall the name. They are so supportive and comfy! I had to look, and your Mermaids are so smart:
I'd like a pair in black, but better not today. The bedroom/bath additions are costing a small fortune. I want to get an evening purse or clutch for my niece to wear with her first choice gown to the military ball. Which do you think would go best? Any particular designers come to mind? TIA, and always for your loving support to everyone.
Have yourself a nice weekend! ❤️

Blessings over all of my Q-Friends for a nice, safe & enjoyable weekend. However you're spending it...
...you otter be feeling my love! ❤️
See you sometime next week. I appreciate the prayers for our safe travels to the wedding. Mine are with each of you and your loved ones.

Dear MsLomo, oh so good to hear from you! I do think about your hubby's health, including the dry eyes. Never heard of serum tears or the scleral lenses. Sorry his tremor keeps him from using them.
I have that also, but can't take the beta blocker that helped.
Writing is more difficult all the time as is of all things, trying to put on eye brows. I don't know what happened to the real ones, but perhaps they are all gray and I can't see them.
So sorry for the balance issues. I know that's a constant concern for you as well as for him. He is blessed to have you there to meet his needs and I'm confident he knows it very well.
Hope the PT gives him a lot of help. I'm seeing that old people....me, not you...just have to manage things.
My PC doc reminds me sometimes that I have CMT and that it can be the cause of lots of my aches, pains, weakness, etc., and he's right. I do forget it.
I see him on Thursday. Need a referral for the dermatologist to check out my nose for the cancer and to spray this and that.
Today the IDD called me. The test shows fungus. Last time I was there, she gave me 10 tables to treat that and they worked. Five to take then, five to save so I'm to take them now. Off one OTC medication I take and which helps me a lot, but isn't supposed to be used long term. She agrees with me that going to ER is a waste of time.
She wants me to call her office on Tuesday to tell someone how I'm doing.
My sister has had 5 of her 10 radiation treatments. She's tired, and not communicating much. Knowing it's in her brain has thrown me for a loop. I can only imagine how she feels about it.
Don't think I haven't already thought about using one of a boy's 2 middle names! The first one is my hubby's and my son's middle name and can be shortened easily. They don't know what they would name a girl, so perhaps that wouldn't be any better. I know the little one will be PRECIOUS and I'm looking forward to it. Her mommy doesn't feel well most of the time, but not just when she's pregnant. I don't understand a lot of things.....hmmm.
Ah, the Kindu! Those were the days.
DD's Open House went well last night. Best part is that it's DONE as Star says.
Twenty more school days. It will be a shortened summer vacation since the district is changing the schedule. School will begin in mid August instead of close to Labor Day. I pray the Lord will allow me to live through the coming year in a way that lets her work to have her good retirement pay.
So glad you've found shoes you like and that are comfy and safe!
I only wear socks inside the house now. All during the winter I wore the Muk Luks with the gripper bottoms, and now I'm wearing the Tommy Copper...I think that's the name. I feel far more secure on my feet when not in shoes. That's the CMT for sure.
You are on my mind often and it's good to have a little visit.

Hi, DeLaney, I suppose you can read my news as I wrote to MsLomo. I'm the one who opted for this recent culture.
The doc gave me 2 zip lock baggies each containing the necessary equipment and her lab instructions, so I can have DD drop on off at a lab if she can get there in time.
I know I will get relief from the medication for the fungus. I did last time, but taking the antibiotics daily just encourages more of that. It's one day at a time and TRUST.
That's not my license plate, but you are correct that my inner person chose the word I do have. Couldn't get it spelled as it really is because someone else already had it, so mine's jazzed up a bit but that makes it more fun.
I know you are enjoying your little boy and BG while you have her. They grow and change so fast.
Take care and enjoy your weekend,
snappy

A good, blessed Saturday to good friends! 🌷I fell behind here again- not due to galavanting this time, so much as just routine appointments, working in the gift shop (so thankful for that- my cable TV, Internet and phone provider has increased their rates again) and got my hair cut and styled by the lady that keeps her shop here on campus. I think my vitamin injections are making both my hair and nails grow faster- including toenails, which I can no longer cut myself. 🙄 Gert does that for me, but it's still embarrassing to have to ask. Too bad the shots can’t mend my bones and joints, but they're supposedly slowing the rate of RA progression. Thankful Medicare still covers those and my oral RXs.
My exciting news, that will bore others here 😜 is that the owner of a nice, air conditioned, restructured bus that picks up fresh produce, deli meats, fresh baked breads (and treats I should avoid) from local markets and shops has added our community to his stops! I was 3rd in line in my chariot riding the lift. Filled my basket and strap on refrigerated bag with lots of goodies: Fresh baked bread for sandwiches, honey glazed sliced ham, dill relish, Colby Jack cheese, small tomatoes, asparagus, scallions, collard greens, lettuce, potatoes, carrots, beans, strawberries and rhubarb (going to make 2 pies). Be glad when the leeks come in. Not big quantities, just enough for me and to share with visitors and neighbors who can no longer cook.
I'm thinking of all of you who attended Becky and Joshua’s wedding in VA today! I'm glad they had such a gorgeous day for it!
“LoneWolf.” Ha-ha! He'll have to change that old nickname now! Every blessing to the happy couple and a safe trip home for all the guests tomorrow. 🙏
I hope Tyler didn’t drool all over his bow tie, Marcia! Bless his tiny heart- teething. Also hope you danced at the reception.. accidents don’t discriminate! They happen to anyone.. even our graceful Issy on a Garden Hopper. 😉😅 Know I've had my share. It's the greatest wonder to me that I'm yet here at all, but His will be done.

Rowan, I know you can guess that I own no wedges, but so far so good here in PA with my few Q deliveries. Maybe the destination is a factor. The last thing I ordered was a Susan Graver top, which arrived in 5 days. Not bad for here and it's lovely- fits my pear shape and doesn’t hang off of my shoulders.
When you girls come back to see me, we'll have to plan a trip to visit Pittsburgh! There's much more to see and do there, too. Know you're resourceful enough to find out what would most interest the group. I'm fine anywhere that allows my chariot, but I do prefer a day trip. Need my walk-in bath and other helpers by bedtime. Which reminds me..
Selah, yes my bed assist rail arrived just fine! I haven’t had it installed yet, because Gwen and Steve are in the Pokonos with his brother, SIL and children. They will get to it by next weekend. Thank you again for the info! I'm glad it's helping your aunt.
My Mother's Day visit to the cemetery wasn’t rained out. They gave us each a rose at the church, and since so many young mothers weren’t there (sad) they let us take the extras left over. I added one to my mother's grave bud vase with the wreath. Angela never got to be a mother, though she so wanted to. In fact, when her symptoms first came on, she and her husband thought she may be pregnant. That's when the cancer was diagnosed. Makes me sad, but the Lord knows best and He chose her to teach other's children which brought her such joy. She may be serving the same way in Heaven for all I know.. Gert and I brought more of the roses home to hand out to residents unable to attend church, but are no less mothers and loved by the Lord.
Thank you, dear for adding Erin to your church's prayer list! I've told her how so many of the faithful are praying for her. It keeps her encouraged, and I feel the book will help, too.
So happy Winona was surprised by the cookbook!
Of course there's no guile in you (or any here) and that's a very good thing! (John 1:47) God will bless those who seek to honor Him with what matters most to Him: who we are inside and not just what we appear to be to others. As our Marcia says: “live to bless, not to impress.” ❤️
Hello to cute and God's blessings remain with your happy and busy family! Congratulations to your graduating great-grands! Have fun at Cruise Night- then come back and tell us all about it!
Joy, I'm lifting up your dear aunt Cynthia in prayer. Daunting as it is potentially.. I'm glad that you’re going so soon. Sounds as though she needs you- your soothing presence, even if you can’t help her with everything. No one, under God can be everything to anyone. I'm sure she knows that in her soul, even if the strokes have damaged her human cognition. If she's not herself, the Lord will help you since you seek His guidance rather than trusting to your own understanding. I can so relate to her feelings, and she is about my age, too. It's a constant struggle to overcome our own will. However, through all the ups and downs and vicissitudes of life, we have a glimpse of stability- God has set eternity in the human heart. Life is but a vapor, but we know there is something past this life. We have a divinely implanted awareness that the soul lives forever. This world is not our home. We long to be there, but must be prepared- transformed.
Thank you for the scrumptious carrot cake recipe!
LOL, tell Will that I said- with a wink, “I'm only a denier of wacky science!”

Hello, Snappy! It's always a pleasure to see you, too. How nice that the school is close enough for your DD to come home for lunch. I know this is the busiest time for her- glad she has so few days left and can teach the kindergarten class next school year. As I recall they combined her classrooms this year. Makes it tough, and isn’t right to her, or the children.
Thank you, dear! You can find that blue outfit at Dillard’s if it would interest you. I didn’t wear it, as planned to Mother's Day services and brunch. The weather was just too iffy. Chose an older dress (rarely do I wear one) with my rainboots and cap. Quite the sight, but got her done, as cute says. 😊
Are there many others from the HSN site that you're missing? I know Dawn left here to return there, after someone jumped in to complain about quoting posts. Made her feel funny, which is a shame. Quotes are allowed after all, and she said that's the only way she could post. Never bothered me or anyone else who chats here. I enjoyed her very much. If there are others still there, maybe they don’t realize you're here. Could you pop over and let them know? The more, the merrier, I say and there's no friends like old friends.
What is the ins company trying to pull now? They said the last time that you could continue on with Dr. Eye Candy. I sure hope that's a mistake on their part. Let his office know and maybe they can sort it out before your appointment. Why should we- the patients have to be bothered by all these impossible technicalities that change from day-to-day? We aren’t being paid to mind the shop, but they sure are. Is your vision still holding up pretty good? I pray so, as you have too much on your plate as is.
So happy that you've had nice visits with both of the babies- or excuse me, little girls now! It brings me vicarious pleasure to hear all about them. I can sense what pleasure it must be to have grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Star is something else with her “done” and I can just picture Sunny babbling away! She'll learn her indoor voice from her outdoor one soon. Right now, she wants to make sure everyone hears what she's learned to do. 😇 So cute!
I'm so sorry for your Lady friend who suffered such severe dementia before our Lord freed her. My SIL's BIL is in a full care facility- a kind of hospital nursing home. I hope they won't have to put him in lockdown, but. it wouldn’t surprise me to hear of it.
You know, of course, I'm praying for you and your sister. I'm thankful that everything that can be done for the both of you is being done. It's hard to accept those things that can't be changed, but we know where our true joy lies and all of this “dying to the self”- subordinating our desires to God's is a requirement for all of His children. Transformation sure comes with growing pains and heavy sorrows. Still, bring me nearer to Thee, oh Lord. Inch by inch..
Praying daily for dear Mr. & @MsLomo! ❤️ Yes, it's a struggle for sure, and how I wish I could help someway- if only to encourage (((you.))) You have true, enduring love in your oneness, and we know..
You are a treasure, dear lady!
I also want to thank all the past, present and future members of the military for their selfless service to our nation.
I know there are daughters, granddaughters and military wives here, who have also sacrificed. All gave some and some gave all. God bless them every one.
With Love,
Ruth Ann

Hello, dear ones! Hope your week is off to a good start.
On behalf of Becky and Joshua, thank you to all here who couldn’t attend, but sent out their sweet blessings to the happy couple! 💜
It was a beautiful day, for such an equally beautiful wedding! No rain, not too hot or too cool.
Gracie was a big help and Becky's grand-nieces and nephews were all adorable! Agnes' Jacob was so handsome, and Jax... in his new dress shoes that sort of click on tiles, thought he was dancing at the reception by stomping his feet. Not tap dancing, but stomp dancing.
Gracie was “proposed to” by one of Becky's grand-nephews as he carried the sign saying, “here comes the bride ~ your last chance to run, groom!” 😅 It was so cute, but she told him they had to finish their education first. She wants to own her own business one day... Maybe a wedding planning shop. He told her he would go to college with her and help her set it up. Meanwhile, seeing Gracie's dad and granddad (my husband) looking rather tense... Joshua told the young man to stop stealing his thunder. One nervous groom at a time. The young man said, “I'm not nervous or a groom yet, just a glad fiancé, but okay ~ it's your big day.” Will jokingly said, “he never grew out of his shyness, that lad.” Our daughter leaned in and said, “we've all heard the courtship stories, dad... he's an awful lot like you. Be afraid, be very afraid!” 😂 He couldn’t mutter a word to that.
It was just awesome having so many of you there, including, of course, Joshua's family! I was pleased to meet their aunt and uncle for the first time. Everyone looked so nice and seemed to enjoy themselves relaxing, chatting, dining, dancing... including baby Tyler, once he got out of his dress clothes. 😚 I have so many snapshots on my iPhone that it's ready to burst! Can’t wait to see the professional shots ~ our family portraits, too!
@LurkyLoo ~ you made me giggle! Maybe Josh can change his online nick to 2LoneWolves, although our Becky is much more a lamb.
Right now, the happy couple are honeymooning on Emerald Isle, NC. 💗💗 They'll enjoy a week of peace and romance there, then...
May it always be blessed ~ each of you, too! 💜
