@LurkyLoo, sorry I am just getting back to you here. Yes, it's a very busy time of the year. For most everyone, I'd wager. Selah, in her impatience, did a very silly thing today. Rather than waiting for the weekend when I can help her with the gift wrapping; she rigged up a make-shift station with that desk that rises she bought to help with her spinal stenosis. Well, it was too cluttered with her work equipment, too, and when she elevated her leg on the seat of a chair under the thing ... stuff went rolling as the desk top suddenly shifted. Thank goodness she wasn’t injured, but her smart phone hit the concrete shop floor - cracked the screen clear across. 🙁 It's been a hard time for cell phones around here lately. I'm going to wrap mine in armor. Something else broke, but she won’t tell me what that was. Apparently a gift for moi. She was madder than a wet hen - at herself. We're taking dinner over there shortly.

Double-affirmative - it's always sad when our sons have to take their leave and return to their lives, but it was so good to have them both home for Thanksgiving. Harper came, too! The trade-off is she and Daniel will spend Christmas with her family there in CT, where they yet live and work. No date has been nailed down yet, but they say they will marry in the spring! Joseph will return soon for Christmas. He's dating someone exclusively at the university and she is a local VA young lady who shares two classes with him. I have only met her via FT thus far, but he may bring her next time.

I think Gwen and her fiancé have the right idea in waiting. There is no rush and university students are under enough pressure as is, especially those who are also employed. The time will fly by, but I pray you'll be here to attend their wedding - then welcome their children into the world! She told me during KS Fest that they are planning to have 2 children after they are both established in their professions and buy a house. 😊 I was telling her how anxious I am to become a grandmother. I think my empty nesting would have been so much harder without all the transitioning ... moving, new teaching job, new church and the volunteer work, etc. I haven’t had time to much experience it. That is fine by me, as long as it doesn’t catch up with me later!

I hope your sniffles don't develop into anything more, and I thank you for making Anoki's weighted blanket. ❤️ I believe it will help him to relax and settle into more peaceful sleep. Your peppermint cups look delicious - pretty, too! We'll give those a try soon.

Hello to everyone here! I'll return soon. Have to pack up the spare ribs and sides to take to Selah's now.

❤️ Ro'

Today my sister went to see Jesus!  No more suffering and she went peacefully.  We got there too late, but was good to be with her daughters. My other two sisters were there too.  Funeral next week, sometime.  Thanks for your prayers.

My deepest sympathies to you and your family at this difficult time, @gloriajean... I know you are grateful that Erma is now free of all suffering, and that she passed over into the loving hands of Jesus so peacefully. I thank Him, too for the gentle mercy shown her.

Poor Selah... I'm so sorry your cell phone and a gift was broken. 😟 I know that annoying feeling when you need to get things done, but our bodies limit us. I still have many gifts to wrap for local family and friends. Using more gift bags and less ribbons and bows. Managed to get all those that needed to be shipped sent off. Still have my cards to make out this weekend, and stocking stuffers to buy. The groceries for Christmas dinner, too. We won’t have as many guests as we did for Thanksgiving and that's okay by me. Our 3 kids have to divide time with their in-laws, too. I understand as I recall too well when DH and I had to do the same. Plus the other grandparents don’t get to see Gracie and Jax as often as we do.

Try to relax, sweetie ~ as hard as that can be. We still have plenty of time to finish everything... and Christmas will come and go, rather we get it all done, or not! I'm looking most forward to church services on Christmas Eve, and watching Gracie sing with the children’s choir. 😊 DH and I will help serve Christmas dinner early around 3:00 pm in the church's dining hall for any who want to attend. I hope the weather will be nice. Caleb, our youngest will be driving the bus to pick up those who need transportation. Quite a few have registered and many with mobility issues, so no ice, I pray.

We're expecting snow this Sunday, so Will has the sled ready to go. He promised Gracie that she can help him “drive” the horses if we get enough accumulation.

Take care of that knee! And thank you and dear Lurky for the prayers for Suz'.

I feel so badly for little Anoki. Saw him struggle to stay still in his wheelchair... I’m sure it's been thought of, but I wonder if tiny doses of whatever helps those like Michael J. Fox would help him, too? 🙏

Wishing everyone a nice, stress-free weekend.

Hi, Lurky, I can't believe it's been so long since I posted here!

So glad to see you. I didn't buy the shawl, but today I'm wearing one of the Cuddl Dud's tops. Very nice fabric, cozy. We had LOTS of rain. The air is fresh and everything is green.

Maybe I misspoke about Thanksgiving. Only Star and her parents were absent. But, that meant we didn't get a complete family picture. They say "next time" because they are young and think there will always be a next time.

The photographer got some good pix of Sunny and my son and that part of the family and of me with my 3 kids. Some worth saving for sure.

I think DD is able to just chalk it up to experience and let it go.

Her broken toe is healing very well. She can drive, walk with a cane and do whatever she wants.

Do take care of yourself,

snappy

Hi, Selah,

Sorry I haven't been here for so long.

Thank you for all the news about so many people. Lovely people.

We had LOTS of rain. Poured everything except cats and dogs. I'm loving it.

DD's vacation begins the 21st and lasts 2 weeks. She's trying to decide what to do about retirement. In order to have the most she can, she needs to finish this year and 2 more. I don't think I'll make it, at least not without help, so of course she feels like a wish bone. We pray and know the Lord will take care of her one way or another.

I saw my PC doc yesterday. He's glad I'm under the care of the IDD now. I showed him what she gave me to take. He has only seen one other of his patients on that medication, and seemed glad for me. I told him how she wants me to handle it if and when I strongly suspect another UTI or a flare up of this one.

Waiting for authorization for an ultra sound of the bladder.

Today my sister is 78. This time last year she was beginning her first chemo treatment, so we are grateful it's not now. She will have a scan sometime this month and is concerned.

where you live sounds idyllic.

Take care,

snappy Smiley Happy

Dear cute, oh how nice to hear from you. SO thankful your TX family was here and is safely at home. I know you enjoyed your time with them. Your grandson's house is just the perfect place to gather. Oh, your little baby boy must be so darling. What a treasure. Yes they do grow up fast. I haven't seen Star for over a month. She will be 18 months later this month. Beautiful little girls. I got their presents put into gift bags, but nothing else wrapped. Had a visit from one of my dear friends who moved up to Oregon years ago but was down here. Traveling on to AZ to be with her son for Christmas.

My eyes are pretty good. Saw the eye doc on Monday. He was prepared to put the stem cell patch on my left eye, but it didn't need it. I return in a few weeks to see how things are then.

Congratulations to your DIL on the publication of her book! How exciting. I do hope it sells well.

Love you, dear friend,

Hi MsLomo...hope this goes through. Lost a post to agnes regarding DeLaney's wonderful news.

Yes, the food was delicious. Marie Calendars cooks the food. They picked it up the day before Thanksgiving. Put it in the fridge. I'm sure there were instructions as to how long each item needed to be heated, etc. It was delicious and very easy.

I'm having trouble here with posts disappearing, so I'll close with the hope it goes through.

If I don't answer anyone else personally, you may know why, but I love all of you.

Dear WaJa, praying this doesn't get lost. So happy to hear from you.

Thank you for praying for our pastor's wife. She will have a scan on Monday.

What a testimony her life is to all who know her! How good is the Lord!

I've watched a lot of the coverage of #41st memorial services. So dignified, thrilling, inspiring. It was precious to hear all the family had to say about him and his dear wife. Thank God for them and his leadership over so many years. Praying His comfort on the remaining large family.

I wanted a picture of the 2 babies to put in just a few cards. I send very few now, and receive few.

We have had lots of RAIN. The real deal. Wearing warm clothing and cabin socks. Love them.

I lost this once, so here it comes. Thank you for your kind friendship

Hi Lurky, bless you for being concerned about me. I've been going to bed very late and sleeping very late, so the day is at least half over and then I don't have time to go on line. My bad as they say.

So far I'm tolerating the medication I was given. My PC doc is pleased that I'm on some sort of regime with the IDD.

Today is my sister's 78th birthday. So grateful she is still with us.

I'm having trouble here, so I'll send this off. God bless you.
