Hello, dear ones! 💜 I just learned it's Womens Day. I didn't even know we had a day, but wishing you each a good one.

Mine started out messy! Will was running late, so I had to make a morning trip to the dump... oh, excuse me: "waste convenience center." 😉 (Doesn't make it smell any sweeter!) 😷 One of bags leaked all over my pants and shoes. Yuck!! Had to go home to wash up and change, so I was late to work, too.

The cheery red-breasted robins are here! ☺️

Along with tree pollens... 😷😷

I hope you're okay up there Lurky! I saw on TWC that parts of your state really got blasted last night. This winter storm is named Quinn. That's our little grandson's middle name, ya' know, so everyone said: "LOOK OUT!" 😈 Awww... they can't have meant it. More likely they're implying something ill-mannered about the one who he was named that after. 😤😜😉

We're just getting a little wind (hence the blow-back at the dump) and it'll be in the 50s through the weekend. I'm making up the grands' Easter baskets early since we won't be here. No, none of our kids are going to Israel. They all have limited vacation time and DD is actually out at sea again with the local SC marine biologists. Doing what she loves (though it still worries me.) Our oldest son, who besides his full-time job with Will's business, is still with the volunteer fire-fighters... and now working toward becoming an EMT. Seems too much to me, but this is what he wants, so I just pray. Youngest son is still semi-active with the NASCAR tour as a rep for his company. Thankfully he's home more now since they have the baby, but they are both also very busy with her animal rescue program, in addition to her mobile vet practice. Never a dull moment! It's too bad you can't have a cat there. They sure have some sweet ones who have been turned in for adoption. My BFF is coming on Sat to pick one out with her granddaughter who is now old enough to properly care for him or her.

Love that top-hat cat pic. 😆 Looks like he's thinking: "Well, ssstuff!" (Use your imagination for the actual word.) MsSophie is so prissy, she has always refused to walk on the grass if there is even a bit of dew. 😼

I don't like to read aloud either ~ especially during allergy season. Have to keep clearing my throat, and hack-hack, sniff-sniff, sneeze!  I don't know if Israel has allergy triggers, but if any exist... my nose is sure to sniff them out. I must be part blood-hound. Have the extra-sensitive hearing, too...

Which, Snappy ~ that made the ear-piercing screeching all the more unbearable! Hey... back then Momma would visit often with her beloved parakeets. Two talked, but one ~ a real unsociable grouch ~ just squawked, so you may be on to something there with your GGD! They sure do mimic everything they hear. My first two ~ and Gracie ~ loved Sesame Street and could mimic those characters. April can't get here soon enough for you, I'm sure! 😍 If she doesn't quite remember you, she'll take to you all over again quickly enough. Please kiss her screechy, precious head for me, her "auntie Joy."

A visual for you:

image.jpg

Please pray for our group during our travels. I'm very excited, but also a bit nervous... 😁

It sounds like your DD was lucky enough to find the same BG commemorative book that we got through our church ~ wonderful! Yep, you have prepared to pass your DMV testing, if it's meant to be. We know that if it's not, the good Lord will provide. 🙏

I have finished all of the tax filing, and just have a few more details to see to here at the office before we leave. I won't have to worry about anything here while away, because thankfully, I have a truly dedicated and fully capable assistant now. That is such a blessing!

If I don't get back here before Sunday, remember our clocks spring forward that night.

Enjoy the rest of your week, ladies! ~ Joy 🌷

Hey, now. . . some things are just worth screeching about!

37F37F90-CEFA-4A8D-90AC-5D5F103FA1AD.jpeg

😎 Make no mistake.

Hello, cute, Issy, Snappy, MsLomo, Lurky, Joy, Selah, Anu, Rowan and Agnes! Sorry I have fallen behind here. Just work—including the volunteering has kept me busy. Sorry some are still having techie trouble here. I see complaints about missing posters/lower than average activity and that is likely why, in part.

Lurky are you managing okay thru the latest big blow? Hope you're not cut off too long, if you lost services. You were asking about my Nan, who used to make that funny remark to her sister. She, my mother's mother passed over several years ago, and so I believe you meant my Gram. My father’s mom who you speak with occasionally by name elsewhere. She's just fine and sends you her love from IRE, where they (Scotland and much of the UK) have been sharing your weather patterns.

BF94AA34-B81A-466A-91FC-69AA15860DDC.jpeg

Weak or no cell signals much of the time, so we text or phone only when possible. You should be hearing more from her soon when the weather clears. Keep warm!

Here we're finally catching a break. No more snow for the next two weeks (it seems) and rising temps. This should help with the search, which is likely now to be a recovery effort, for Dr. Jon Torgerson. If you google his name, the heartbreaking story will come up on Flathead beacon dot com. Starts with:

”Dozens of individuals have gathered at Whitefish Mountain Resort every morning and every evening since the extensive search got underway for Dr. Jonathan Scott Torgerson, a 62-year-old physician in Whitefish; a dedicated family man living in Columbia Falls and an experienced backcountry skier in the Flathead Valley who, on Feb. 17, went skiing alone in the Big Mountain backcountry and didn’t return.”

Mike and some of his friends has been part of the search parties. I and others try to keep them supplied and fed. You might, please remember these efforts and the many loved ones of Jon in your prayers. I thank you on their behalf.

MsLomo: did you “tap” into that shortbread recipe yet? 😋 Likely will be a challenge to beat out Martha's, but I’ll be interested to know before I tackle either, which you prefer. You asked pages ago how Mike and I are—thanks, we're doing fine! You'll see this as my current avatar:

1E470ED0-C14D-4C01-8331-9620EBD3C42A.jpeg

In the Member's List there on Delphi, with my same initials, now ending in the married one, and my birth year shared earlier. (Trolls need not apply!) I've never searched for myself among the thousands, so if that's too tedious, can we PM thru HSN? I could sign up there. Looking forward to either! Would give you my throw-away email, but that would get poofed here. Hope your DH is seeing much clearer now, and I’m sure he appreciates you taking such good care of him! ❤️❤️

Joy, you know I love that sweet pic—so natural, so YOU. Has me longing to return to your ranch/farm soon. Secondly, I'll be so overjoyed to see “my” horse! Enjoy your time safely, I pray, in Israel. My love to all the family, plus Reuben, Becky and her family.

Snappy, sweet blessings coming your way soon with a visit from YOUR baby girl! 👶 So glad to hear it! No, she didn’t sign on for the modeling gig, but I feel rather certain she'll not be shy about letting them know if it doesn’t please her. Back home Mom's baby sister was a baby model for a diaper rash ad. They've never let her live it down. Affectionately she’s yet called “cheeky” by those who recall her call to fame. Flaming red, wee cheeks made possible with food coloring! She takes it all in stride, reminding them that this brief, unsolicited humiliation got her the prettiest Connemara pony, among a few other perks.

Glad your DD has her surgery date all lined up. She may be taking ballet with Mr. Wonderful all too soon. Go Shirley!! What spirit—such a trooper. She knows Who to put her trust in and we all give Him such thanks!

Issy: have the storms there passed now? What will you do with the weekend? Mike and I are planning to do a bit of kayaking tomorrow. Will take the waterproof camera along and try to get some good shots. Hopefully of wildlife, as well as scenery during what I pray is our final thaw.

Selah's favorite—the bears will be waking from their slumber!

I see you've been here, scattering hearts about. Still scrunched are you? Maybe borrow Rowan’s device for a moment to share the hot air balloon saga! We'll talk soon. Wishing Elk all the best with his bees and gardening projects. Kisses to Winona and Mosi!

Prayers continue for your DGDIL as she battles thyroid cancer, cute t. 🙏

May God's blessings continue to go with you all!

Wow, lots of jumping on this site today. Took me 3 tries to land correctly on our thread. Hope that means IT is working on fixing things for everyone, across all platforms.

Marcia, that is so sad about the missing doctor. 😢 I read the story. I sure will be praying that either way, he is found. The wondering must be awful for his family and all the patients who love him.

I hope you and Mike have a good time and get lots of beautiful pics. Our archery classes resume tomorrow. That's a terrific outlet for all 3 of us, but I do think my upper body strength has gone to pot over the winter. Otherwise.....just the usual chores, including grocery shopping here. Darrell has to work evenings straight through the weekend.

Issy was asking me a while ago how Jacob is doing. Most of the time he's doing and behaving just fine, thanks!

A few meltdowns at school lately, but nothing too serious, TG. Spring break will be a welcomed change, and he'll be so glad to go back to fishing, etc. More outdoor activities really helps him better manage his symptoms. Helps us all, I think! How are you and yours doing? Fine, I hope! Enjoy the new bigger boutique. 😊

Hi, cute! Thanks for stopping by with the good news! I know it's hard to post here much of the time. We miss you when you can't.

Rowan, I'm going to look for a chalkboard for my kitchen! Have no real reason for one, but it looks like fun!

Hello to Snappy, MsLomo and all our friends here! I'll be back when there's less bouncing when trying to type.

In the meanwhile....

With love from Agnes ❤️

Thank you, Marcia and your horse is just fine! Sharron is over there helping her GD pick out a kitty now. then we may go riding for a bit. It's cooler out than they predicted and cloudy. Might rain...

Awww... there’s your sweet Gram. ❤️ I'm waving back to her! Sorry to hear they've had harsh weather to deal with, too.

I'm praying that Dr. Torgerson is found alive. Miracles happen, but if the Lord has called him Home, I know He will likewise comfort and strengthen the survivors. You and Mike are always available to assist in times of need. Heaven bless you!

No worry with malicious types following you over there. You can block any “unwellness” that PMs you. It's scary how some minds work ~ or fail to properly ~ but I know you are more than qualified to deal with it.

Love that adorable pic, Agnes!! 😍

Hello to all you helloers out there!

Cute - what a blessing it is to see you here today! 😊 Yes, they are still working on this site, but they must have gotten something right since the last time I visited. I can read without zooming in and distorting the whole page now. So thankful! I hope they fix the 'sign in' trouble you and others are experiencing soon. Keeping my fingers crossed!

The time change almost had me late for Sunday services this morning, but it's another sign of Spring, so I'll take it. Our 9" of snow is melting and I hope to see no more this year.

We are all praying for your granddaughter-in-law, as she gets the treatments for the thyroid cancer. God bless and sustain her- and your whole family. 🙏

I wish I could help you find what you're looking for on the HSN site, but I have never been there. Only phoned in orders. MsLomo, Snappy and Issy should be able to help you with that when they check in here (or there).

Happy 18th birthday to your great grandson! 🎈🎉 How time does fly. It's nice he has a job he loves and congrats to him on graduating early!

Hope to see you here again soon! 🌻

Cute was speaking of feeling old and in a little over a month I'll be 78. I'll be thankful to make it, but I think I was born old in many ways..

My brother and his wife wants to have a party for me there. I love small family parties- the same with friends, but I have never enjoyed being the center of attention. So awkward it is for me, that I feel like being ungracious and asking them not to plan anything. I don't want to hurt their feelings, though. I don't think either of them really relate to me on it. They are both just naturally more outgoing than I am. Suppose I should go and make the best of it- it's so good of them to go to the trouble. They are even inviting some of my closest friends from here and the old neighborhood.

I could request no gifts couldn't I, ladies? I think that's part of what bothers me. When I was growing up, birthday parties with gifts were held for children. Grown-ups got a special dinner of their favorite dishes- usually with a cake or pie for dessert. I know some (or all?) of you here go all out for adult birthday parties, since this is not the 1940s 😜 and it's fine if you enjoy it. Do you think it rude to request no gifts? Would it spoil the fun for others, or save them the bother (my intentions, of course)?

Selah if you're reading.. Try signing in now. Maybe they have fixed it for your android device, too. I can't stretch the pages yet, but I don't need to anyway. The font is back to normal on my old iPad! I'm still typing big for your sake.

Joy I hope Sharon's GD found the perfect kitty! Yes, I wish I could have one here, but Smoky on the farm will have to do. I trust Jodi will find good, loving homes for them all, bless her!

Prayers for your group's safe travels. 🙏 Everything will be fine and you'll get to be there for Palm Sunday, Good Friday, Passover and Easter! Don't forget that Easter falls on April Fools day this year. Your DH is bound to pull a fast one on you! 😉 I'll be with you in spirit, my dear little sister in faith (and "adopted daughter"). TY for sharing the lovely photo here. It's too bad you can't take that ATV to ride all over Israel!

Blessing it is- the ability to block unwanted malicious messages. Oh, yes.. scary- deranged is the word for it, but I would rather know in order to avoid. No more reasonable doubt at all now. As usual, the predictable patterns prove themselves.

Agnes I remember when Jacob got his puppy- just look at them now! 😍 Honey, all little boys (and many girls) have meltdowns in school- especially as the semester grinds down to a halt. Spring fever! Good luck with the archery course. I can see how target practice would be a good, safe outlet. The gardening will help your upper body strength, too. My PT has told me she will help me to safely strengthen my core muscles. I'm almost afraid to hope, but I do trust her and she won't push me too hard.

Marcia may the Lord bless all those in the rescue or recovery efforts of the good Dr. What a loss if he has perished. Can tell from all those interviewed how loved and appreciated Jon is in his community. If ANY good can come of this (besides him surviving, God-willing) is that maybe others- no matter how experienced.. will think twice before going skiing in the back country alone. 😟

I did get a PM from your Gram! TY for sharing my msg with her. She is always such a light-hearted delight, but I can tell she is worried about her son- your father. Scared about the possibility of that risky surgery. I'm praying the shots will work in better blocking the pain. No surgery always sounds best to me, but sometimes it's vital to quality of life. Maybe the warming temps there will help, too? It does so for me, but I've never had a pinched nerve or aneurisms. He carries on so well that others (online) would never know of his suffering. He and Elk have a brand new gardening thread- with others joining in on D. (Note Anu: you can ask your questions there!)

Love that sweet pic of you and Mike- can see it better this way than in the smaller avatar. Did you see any bears? 😳 Way in the distance, I hope!

Snappy now that the tax work is done, and all of your appts are behind you for a while, you should be able to enjoy less stressful days ahead. Of course, we never know, do we? But that's my prayer for you today. Only good things to look forward to now, with the baby and family gathering soon. Your oldest daughter has her surgery lined up in time to recover before her big trip. Your youngest will be out of school soon enough for the whole summer. Maybe you two can take that little trip to the coastal village you so enjoy. My that sounds nice! 😍

I thank you for praying for me- it clearly helped! I didn't freeze up or lose my place during Bible study. If you and DD got out to church today, I hope you enjoyed that.. and maybe a frap along the way home. 😊 I'll check back with you soon, dear.

Love to Issy, MsLomo, Rowan and All! 💗

WaJa, thank you for all the interesting news about your kids. Haven't thought about Easter baskets for many years, and the baby is too young this year, but I did order a white bunny with pink trim and her name embroidered on one of the ears. It came yesterday and is darling. I suppose another one will be in order for the new one on the way.

Glad you were able to get a book about Billy Graham. I was blessed to live all through his years of ministry.

Right from the tent in L.A. in 1949. I still remember what it looked like.

My taxes have been filed and accepted. Yeah.

Your situation is more complicated a hundred fold.

Glad you have a competent assistant. I don't know just when you leave for Israel, but can hardly wait for the report when you return. Praying for your safety.

DD#1 will have her hip surgery on the 23rd of this month. Four days before her birthday. It will doubtless make walking in England and Russia more comfortable.

My sis has one more treatment, then a scan in July to see if the cancer has returned anywhere. Of course we pray it's truly GONE.

I would be happy to kiss the screecher's head for you. The next get together is April 15th. I dreamed that she cried when she saw me and wouldn't let me hold her......sigh.

We've had real rain, with more on the way this coming week. I feel invigorated by cool, wet weather.

Take care of yourself and enjoy your vacation to the fullest.
