Cute it's so good to chat with you, too! Had been worried about you, but now I understand. Our family has to come first- and YES, prayers work!!! Please keep us updated on how your granddaughter-in-law does with her chemo. I hope she has a lot of help caring for the new baby. Those treatments can make one so tired and weak. Though Snappy's sister is getting booster shots to help her tolerate the chemo and build up her immunity. She seems to be doing very well.
MsLomo didn't require any surgery or chemo, because her polyp went away on its own, thank God!
I think Issy is just busy as usual working and enjoying herself- she stops by when she can and is such a delight. They will all be so happy to hear from you and I know they'll offer prayers for the baby's mother, too.
These other posters are the same ones (including me) who you and your friends kindly invited over from the Kindred Spirits thread following the last terrible upgrade 3 or so years ago. Most of them work full time, so just visit occassionally. Some have new avatars which are very hard for me to see now since this newest upgrade, so it's all a bit confusing.
No worries, though- all are kind ladies and you just come and post just as you please!
It's warm here, too, but cloudy. We'll be getting rain by the end of the week. That will help the Spring flowers! You'll soon be mowing the lawn again and taking the Corvette out for a spin! I'll be glad to just get outdoors more and let the heat soak into these old bones. 🌞
Come again soon- we may hear from Snappy today. God bless and keep you and yours, dear cute! Sending you love across the miles!
❤️🙏❤️

Rowan bless you for trying to help me with the tech troubles! Yes, Joy sent me this new avatar by email to save and upload here to see if my JavaScript is working at all on this site now. We have to upload them a different way now, or at least I do.. She walked me through that process, but I can hardly see any of avatars- or much else.
Since it is that this site still appears unchanged before I turn on JavaScript to sign in, we know that in part the new incompatibility issue is because my iPad is old like me and can't be updated. Therefore neither can JavaScript. I hope I'm making sense. 😜
When I sign in, the site is normal for a moment until it fully loads. Then it jumps and everything is squished toward the center. The threads and posting table are about half as wide as they used to be and so the font is tiny. I have to use Zoom to see how to read and type.
I never downloaded any mobile app. I did though search my desktop to be sure I didn't do so by accident, since that offer was always popping up here. I also cleared my cache and history and did the hard reset per your instructions. Nothing improved, dear, but I'm glad it seems to be for you.
All of my settings appear to be just as they were from the time I joined up. Since so many others with newer and different devices are having problems, too.. I have to hope that the IT Team has adjustments to make yet. Things may get better when they've completed those.
I'm not going to worry.
That's a beautiful pie plate! I believe the whole line is very good quality. They would really brighten up any kitchen or dining room. I would love to have one of the vases to sit on my little table. Will try to snap one up when it's next on air.
Have a wonderful day, ladies! Will check back with you soon. 🌷

Typing larger for those having site issues here... Sorry some still are. Maybe they have to adjust the settings for each type of system/browser at a time. I have not tried to shop yet, so I don’t know what works for me yet there. This forum seems fine on my phone. That sliding index menu thing is a real pain, since when the onscreen keypad is up, it leaves maybe 2” between the two. Very little visibility - about like texting in scale. Since the QVC/HSN merger, I think they are trying to create symmetry between the sites. For better or worse.
I'm feeling much better and I’m back to work. Thanks again for your prayers!
Cute t - I'm sending up prayers for your great-grandson's mom! So sorry she has to have chemo following the surgery. Congratulations to you and your hubby for a happy marriage spanning 50+ years! That's a WOW!!! Glad he is feeling so much better now.
Snappy - I've been praying for your breathing to clear up, for Shirley and your DIL. Are you still watching the Olympics? I felt awful for the French skater with the costume malfunction! My favorite couple is the Canadians - hope that doesn’t make me any less patriotic - LOL. They just blow me away each time!
Breaks over, so will chat more later - with most here off-site. This is just a bit too tedious for conversing. Probably the whole idea.💡 Less chatting and more shopping - hence that flipping banner to constantly remind us, Can’t expect more from a retail site. 🤑
Have a terrific week, friends! ❤️

PS: Lurky I forgot to mention that I’m praying you locate the new doctor soon. You could be in ketosis and your PT would notice that due to muscle absorption. I've tried every fad diet, you know. This happened to me, too. Loss of muscle mass and so strength. Lots of light-headed dizzy spells. Remember the heart and brain are muscles, too.
IMO you should follow your cardiologist's low sodium, low fat heart healthy diet plan. As you were before this shill recommended the caveman fad.
I love you! ❤️

Thank you for typing larger and for this info, Agnes.
I'm going to look up the warning signs of ketosis. Now that you reminded me of that condition, I recall a lady here who was advised to go on the Atkins diet for 7 days prior to a surgery. Well, she lost weight so easily, that she just stuck with it for months after her surgery. Not under her doctor's advice, just on her own. She lost a LOT of weight, but developed this, then kidney (renal) failure. Too much protein.
I'm not eating a lot of protein, but something is off and it could be this.. Might explain why at certain times my heart will race and I feel short of breath, then get dizzy. My heart is starved for fuel and digesting itself. 😳
I thank the Candian ice-dancers are most everyone's favorites. Now they are recognized as the best in the world. Good for them! They certainly earned it, imo. I like to see the USA athletes medal, but I'm all for fairness, regardless of which country they represent. The best should always win.
I love you, too! ❤️ Hugs to Jacob- we'll talk more soon, where it's far easier to do so. 😅 Don't work too hard!

Hello, Lurky. I could have been enlarging this font all along, but didn't even think of it. Sorry. The only problem I have here is that sometimes my post just vanishes. Usually it's saved, but sometimes not.
Yes, we all are touched with grief in different ways.
My dominate feeling now is just such relief that hubby is glorified and not suffering nor ever will. And I wouldn't be able to care for him now as I did then.
Flowers are really meaningful, evoking strong feelings in people for all sorts of reasons. I like looking at them outside. The African daisies I planted years ago have spread all over the place and are in bloom right now. So pretty.
Bobbisue doesn't have a computer and apparently doesn't want one. I did hear that her other son has come home. The one she asked us to pray for and is helping her. That's a great blessing.
It's wonderful that you have people who will come and do taxes for the residents there. I'm blessed too.
Our city provides free tax service for seniors, but my friend knows me well and has done mine since hubby went Home. They are really simple. Yes, the Lord protected me from any identity problems over the lost papers. Thank YOU Lord.
Thank you for telling me about your diet. I don't like the doctor's threat. That is so cruel It isn't as if our medications will cut our lives short!!
I hope you can straighten that out or find someone who will treat you with respect.
I saw my PC doc yesterday. He doesn't think there is really anything wrong with my heart or lungs. He thinks the real trouble is the Charcot Marie Tooth.
I do have cardio myopathy, but he said as the popluation ages and people live so much longer, they will all hear that said of them. CMT is congenital myopathy. He spoke about a muscle that is close to the diaphragm, can't remember the name, that may be affecting my breathing. He also told me to take one of my meds about 20 minutes before I get up and see if that makes it easier to breathe. I tried it this morning.....it DID! I got my shower, got dressed, made the bed, gathered up a load of things for the washer and then came out and had breakfast. I wasn't panting, but was glad to sit.
Because the cardiologist suggested it, he is ordering another chest xray, and I'll get it done, but I would be shocked, as would he, if anything shows up.
I'm SO much relieved and DD is too and that matters a lot to me. She worries so much about leaving me here.
Sorry to ramble on so much.
My sis had her PET scan this morning and will hear what it shows on the 28th. We are so praying the cancer is gone. She has done so well through this, I'm proud of her and think she is brave.

My dear cute, I have been missing you. Am grateful your hubby is finally feeling well, and it sounds as if you are okay too.
Glad you had such a nice Valentine's day with a free dinner! win win.
Sorry to hear that your DSs wife has thyroid cancer. You know that DD#2 got that 25 years ago and my son about 5 years ago. They are boh fine. It's a matter of managing the thyroid levels in the body. Not too high to damage the heart, not too low so a person can't function. There is no chemo involved. The treatment is radioactive iodine that the patient swallows. This is usually only done once. The person is radioactive and has to be in isolation for usually about 24 hours, but after that, it's done. DD#2 did have to have that repeated once many years ago, but that's it.
They will keep track of your loved one's condition with blood work and maybe scans, depending on how good the doctor is. Now and then, DD has to have an ultra soond of the neck where the thyroid was, and sometimes of the heart. Not invasive, outpatient things.
I know the C word is scary, but this is one of the best kinds if a person has to have it.
I will pray for her and her little family. I know they will support her all the way and she will be fine.
My sister had a PET scan this morning. Next week she is scheduled for her 5th treatment and will learn what the scan showed. We are praying the cancer is gone.
She has done so well, is so brave, says the Lord has been with her.
She just bought another wig. It's a cute reddish blonde color. Like a bob.
I haven't seen the baby since Christmas. She crawls and can pull herself to stand up now and walks if someone holds her hands. I miss her, but the kids don't really understand that and they live quite a ways away. My Gd and the baby she is carrying are okay. She's about half way through her pregnancy.
I hope to see you again soon. I don't get here every day. I'm understanding my condition better, so I feel a relief. The Lord is so good to me. I love Him.
God bless your DS's wife and heal her body and mind as she learns to deal with this trial. She will be okay, cute, and live her full life.

Hi Agnes, so happy to hear that you are feeling better and back to work. Thank the Lord.
I have a laptop and aside from sometimes vanishing posts, I don' have any problem here at all. When I order, it's almost always from my Kindle Fire. Easy, peasy. for me.
Thank you for praying for me and my family. I know my DDIL is having PT, but haven't been in touch with her. My sis had her PET scan this morning. She sees the doc on the 28th. That may also be when she has her next treatment. She is really doing well, all things considered and says the Lord is blessing her. I can hardly wait to hear what the scan shows. My prayer is that the cancer is gone.
Hi Selah, Anu, Rowan, Issy, MsLomo and all others who read and post here.
Blessings on your heads and loved ones.

Hello, dear ones! I'm still up to my neck in tax prep, but wanted to check in with you. It's been 80° for the past 3 days. Daffodils and other bulbs are shooting up everywhere. Wouldn’t shock me though if we get snow again that will send them into a tizzy.
The Rev. Billy Graham has gone to join the Lord and his beloved Ruth. I'm only saddened at this world's loss, since it's long been his strongest desire. I humbly thank him for his service to so many while here and able.
Snappy ~ wasn’t it you and your hubby who sang with local choirs during some of his crusades? That must have been quite the experience. I've loved him since my earliest childhood and have all of his and Ruth's books.
Woot! So happy that just changing the time you take your RX has already had such a positive effect on how you feel. The muscle reflex due to all the coughing in conjunction with the congenital disorder makes a lot of sense. Hopefully it will calm down soon. Praying Shirley hears only the best news on the 28th!
Cute t ~ my prayers are with your grandson's wife. Their whole family, including you. I know it's worrying and with the precious baby boy to care for. I hope her treatments go well with no complications.
Roofann ~ 😊 (I love it!) You're doing great using the zoom. I'm going to send you the simple instructions to adjust one more setting. Fear not that it involves going into “Advanced.” It's as easy as pie. I think your JavaScript isn’t fully functional here because you’re using Private browsing ~ which is good! But since the upgrade involves all these new interactive icons on the floating banner... there are sure to be additional trackers (for marketing), so you can, if you want to, try browsing in Normal. See if that new banner won’t load correctly, nothing else does and you have limited function with the whole site off-kilter.
If your Verizon network has filters safeguarding you from these trackers (and worse security threats) there will be no way to override that and you'll be stuck with the zooming in and out on the iPad. Your Fire tablet may work better when the upgrade is complete. There are MANY more complaints from those finding it impossible to shop or access their accounts. I just searched for Marcia's mother's shoes (so cute and comfy looking!) and the results for sandals brought up 2 pairs! 😆 (Ugly ones at that.) They are far from finished here. So give it time on the Fire HD. They never should have rolled this out before Beta testing, but that’s BAU here. 🙄
Praying you find the perfect rheumatologist to match your needs!
Hello out there, MsLomo and Issy! 👋👋 Missing you here and hoping all is well.
~Joy 💐

Snappy, bless you for increasing your font size while this new upgrade to the website has some struggling to read posts. I can see yours just fine when I use zoom, but the thread table and my own font seems so small as I type, I have to enlarge it for my sake. I hope it's not too big on your laptop.
Praise the Lord that nothing else is wrong- your pre-existing CMT flared up in that muscle near the diaphragm likely from the bug that triggered the coughing. Just the same, I will keep you in my prayers. Best to err on the side of caution and get the x-ray, I agree.
I've been taking an informal survey here among the residents. Seems there are two top picks for rheumatologists, so I've called the one located closet for an appointment. Can't get in until the March 12th to see her, but the receptionist had me fill out forms on their website portal. I won't have to do that when I get there. They are sending for my records, so I need not even return to the other one to ask for those. Feeling a little more hopeful.
Don't apologize for rambling! I'm the queen of it. I envy those who can be pithy, but I enjoy reading all of your thoughts here.
Praying for Shirley's good results on the 28th- Lord hear our prayers. Yes, she is brave and faithful! I'll also pray that your GS is moved to bring the baby to come see you. At this stage they change so much- almost overnight.
Take care and enjoy admiring all those flowers! ❤️
