@shortbreadlover   I sort of understand.  My DH had a corneal ulcer and his ophthalmologist referred him to a specialist in corneal diseases.  They really did not think he would be able to keep his (not just his vision, but his eye).  I have doctored him with drops for more than 6 months and medication.  He has had several surgeries since that and he has to take the meds and use the drops (which are from compounding pharmacy).  Egads at the price. We began doing them every 30 minutes day and night and now we are down to 3 times a day, thankfully, but the labor was more intensive than the load of money we spent.  But, eyes --- they are so worth the hard work, the surgery and the money.  He has had several glaucoma surgeries also, so he has been on the eye train for about 30 years.

@shortbreadlover I'm sorry you've had so much trouble with your eye! I can't imagine all the pain and shots plus worrying about it!
If I even get an eyelash in mine it feels like a rock.
I hope these shots work this time. Take care!

I've been a type 1 diabetic for 41 years. Just the past few years it has been affecting my eyes. I've been getting injections in my eyes for about 2 years now. My doctor is such a pro. I never, ever feel a thing! Its much scarier thinking of it than actually having it done. Sure, I don't like the procedure but its over in a second. My doctor has already told me if it weren't for this drug I would have lost my vision. OP, I'm sorry you are having such problems. It will get better.

I have a friend with very high blood pressure, I think she's maxed on meds  Anyway, she gets these injections in her eye periodically and still has wavy vision.  So if your vision is clear count your lucky stars.  One of the negatives of aging, I guess.

Hoping things improve soon @shortbreadlover . I certainly don't see how you could work at a job (or even at home) with your eye problem.

You are a real trooper!

Never give up on yourself and always believe. You are going through this because it is the process that is needed to manage what is going to make your eye better.

Yes, it is and has been a difficult journey and very discouraging to you but it is not without hope.

Keep your thoughts positive and continue doing what you need to do.

Blessings and prayers are said for you from many and all are here for you.
