exercise or even just walking around your space helps get rid of built up anxiety and energy.
eat healthy and build your immunity. try and avoid the What If's and try not to imagine worst case scenerios.
do the recommended things when you go out and get back home. it is really important.

Thank you for taking the time to share a kind and thoughtful post!
I, too, struggle with anxiety -- have for practically my whole life. This period of time is difficiult. You want to stay informed, but the constant bombardment of all of it, is hard to take! I have to make myself walk away from it.
I think what you wrote -- very good tips! It's important to remember that it's not just happening to me, or to you -- it's everyone! If we are all courteous and respectful of one another and try to do what we can to protect ourselves, it will benefit everyone else, as well! And people should stop hoarding.
Prayer has been and continues to be my greatest source of peace, guidance, help and comfort.
I walk outside when I can. This clears my mind and helps me to re-focus.
Talking to friends and family on the phone instead of texting. Call up other elderly friends or neighbors and see how they are doing. Just hearing a frendly voice will give them a lift, and you as well!

@FlowerBear , There are alot of people that are scared, we can just do what we can.

I can understand being scared but this will pass, by staying close to home the curve will level out and this will be a memory.
Unless you have had direct contact with an infected person really do not have to worry about getting sick

A few years back I suggested a young person I mentor take up knitting. She has a lifetime of severe anxiety issues, which exacerbate her asthma, which in her case becomes life threatening.
The act of knitting required her to remain completely focused on coordinating both physically and mentally, and left no room for her to envision fearful thoughts at the same time.
She found knitting was "calming".
You don't have to make anything useful. You just have to knit.
If it starts to become 'automatic' and you can let your mind wander, add other stitches and make a pattern that requires your focus.

@FlowerBear My very best anxiety reliever is listening to my kitty boy purr, watching our horses in the pasture without a care in the world, and the ability to be able to still smile watching them.

My adult kids love to make puzzles. They call it their "therapy" and find it very relaxing. They do some huge jigsaw puzzles then glue them, frame them and hang them in their garages! Myself, I like to exercise and read a good book.........then I'm into the wine later! Whatever works, we all need alittle something ![]()

I am sorry you are feeling this way....it is hard not to. I am a news/political junkie and watch it too much ![]()
I'm fortunate enough to live in a beautiful wooded area. I wish you could come and stand out in the sun on my back patio and hear the birds...the owls, wild turkeys make frequent visits, as do deer.
Just try to project to a time when things will settle down and believe you will get through this.

Please post more photos of your beautiful horses!
I find looking at them gives me faith for better days!
