What is the oldest gift or present you received for a birthday or Christmas that you still have.  Mine is a transitor radio I received from my parents when I was about 13.  It still works.  How or why I decided to keep it, I have no idea, but having it makes me smile with memories.

My Raggedy Ann and Andy from mom and dad 50 years ago. And I proudly display them in my computer room.

A sapphire ring that I got from my parents for Christmas. It is a size too small, but I wear it on my pinkie sometimes. It's a nice memory.

I miss my transistor!  Does a gift for my birth count?  I still have my very first teddy bear that my great grandma gave me when I was born.  It’s 59 years old!  I moved all my life, so for me to have this is quite something.

I have the Teddy Bear to which my Dad attached my Mom’s engagement ring when he proposed.  When I was born he became mine. He has a music box in his tummy that plays Teddy Bear’s Picnic.

@Allegheny-

That is an interesting, thoughtful  question!

I remember my pink transistor radio way back then. It seemed to be the thing we all wanted.

Thinking  about it, I am surprised that I don't think I really have a present much past 10 years.

I tend not to hold onto things forever, esp. if they make me sad.

I do still have clothes my sweet fil gave me money to buy when I was in my twenties. He wanted me to have nice clothes (for a change lol!)

I still have a beautiful, classic cranberry peplum jacket with glossy black buttons from Casual Corner with some of the money he gave me and still wear it.

One of my most treasured things was a gift to myself when I was 17.

A dolphin sculpture by a well known artist at the time who had the most natural beautiful colors on his sculptures. It still is one of my favorite things of all.It is probably the first "thing" I'd grab if I had to leave the house (after, me and my grandcat!)

Of course it counts!

I didn't put in my post that my transistor is 52 years old.  I remember late at night as a kid I would play it to see from how far away I could pull a signal.

I still have my Elgin transistor radio my parents gave me when I graduated from 8th grade. Unfortunately, mine doesn't work.

I still have the black and white poloroid camera I got for my 8th grade graduation.  One of the first that came out where you had to brush stuff over the curled up photo after it came out.
