IM SO OLD I REMEMBER MY DAD PUT A PHONE IN  WHY LOL NO ONE WE KNEW HAD A PHONE  AND IF ANYONE WANTED TO MAKE A CALL HE CHARGED THEM 10 CENTS    IM 91 SO THATS OLD

And the wax lips and vampire teeth that came out around Halloween. Also the blue bubble gum balls called sputniks that came out after the Soviets launched the first satellites.

In the "olden days" we collected empty coke bottles and walked to the  small mom  and pop store to turn them in for money so that we could buy candy.

@wilma  Our phone was in the downstairs hallway. Important phone numbers were written on the wall. Every time we painted, we had to re-copy the phone numbers. The phone book was stuck in the banister going upstairs. When I wanted to talk to my friends, I would stretch the phone cord so I could go inside the cellar door and sit on the top step. Our party line included one world class gossip.

I remember when the test pattern came on TV at midnight! 

I remember when stores closed at 5pm, and no stores open

      on Sunday due to blue laws!

I remember when our phone had a party line!

I can remember waiting until 11 pm to get better long distance rates.
