The majority of songs I listen to bring me back to he time and place and memories related to that time.  Songs stir my emotions often, some happy some sad .

Boy, I'll say!  Certain songs instantly make me remember a certain time, a certain experience, a certain day, q certain feeling, a certain person, a certain occasion.  Many of these songs evoke a happy memory and many a sad one.  Some make me think of times I'd like to go back and re-live and some, when I hear them, I honestly want to cry.  My life is very aligned with music.  I don't think a day has gone by that I haven't listened to music.

Music was so much a part of life.  It's interesting how songs can trigger memories and smells and feelings.

Definitely.  I worked in a burger joint the summer of 1988 between my junior and senior year in college.  They had a juke box.  Every time I hear Pour Some Sugar on Me by Def Leppard, The Flame by Cheap Trick and My Prerogative by Bobby Brown I think of that burger joint.  Those were the songs that were played most often.

So many songs make me think of certain times in my life, but especially one ten-year period of songs brings back the most memories of a
relationship I was in with an ex boyfriend, who is the love of my life. One out of many songs that is forever wlocked in my memory is Fields of Gold, by Sting.
