For now, I am content with working at home and staying safe.  My commute is short and the kitchen is always open.   I am inside so much the dog has started to safe-distance from me.

After working from home for 8 weeks, I went back to the office this past Monday.  I didn't mind working remotely but it is great to be back with my team again!

I'm doing very well at home now too.  It was hard at first with getting everything set up.  Then being inside seemed to make me bobble-headed.  I started going out for a walk at lunch every day that the weather allowed.  That really helped.  And we have a weekly department meeting where I see and talk to everyone virtually.  So all is good.

Re: Working from Home

[ Edited ]

My husband was VERY reluctant to work from home.  For the first week or two, he was going in 1-2 days for something or other. When he finally set up a cozy home office, he began to love working from home.  Now he doesn't want to go back to his commute and the office drama.  He is of retirement age, and may just go that route if he has to go back to working at the office.

My dog is having no part of social distancing. Quite the opposite.

Same here @queendiva.  He is GLUED to me. I've never seen him like this.  He follows me around from room to room. There's not a time I get up from the couch that he doesn't immediately get up. There was a segment on the news about this.  That pets will develop a dependency because we're home so much and when such a time comes that we're back to our usual routine of going out more, there may be issues.

Wear a mask. Social distance. Be part of the solution - not part of the problem.

@Deree : The only time he lets me out of his sight is in the morning. He knows there is no couch in the kitchen, LOL! He is lazy and has no need to get up off the bed until hours after I am up.

I try to make a habit of going out at least once a day so he will not become too dependent. I am sure that once he hears the garage door open he moves from the couch back to the bed. Tough life, but he deserves all the pampering he gets.

@Boomernichols  I’ve been working from home and enjoying it but I have been asked to go back to the office on Tuesday. Almost everyone else was back in the office full time on Monday.

I’m really going to miss the convenience of working from home. It has been nice being able to put dinner on to cook on my break and being home to receive a delivery of food or some other thing ordered online. It has also been low stress working from home.
