@Still keeper of the koi, after my mom passed away, I found a grief support group in my hometown, and gave the information to my dad.  I really didn't think that he would go, but he did!  It was one of the best things for him.  The grief support group led to other things......regular breakfasts out with some of the people, get-togethers for card playing and other events going on in the area.  I was so happy that he decided to go to that meeting as it really changed his life, for the better.  Taking that first step is the hard part.
