I've had various glass tops for the last 40 years, but back when I did have a coil stove I never knew this.  No wonder I hated it and switched.

I knew but only because a cleaning lady we had years ago told me.

@Foxxee I am proud of you for sharing your knowledge with others.  I knew because my mother knew and she would pass on her learnings as she would say.  We would can together in TN and on numerous occassions we would need ro clean under the burners, so yes I knew.  With MOTHERS DAY around the corner, I am proud I had a good mother that taught me many life lessons!!!!

So I have gas burners and I'm thinking there's no magic.

What I want to know is, someone once posted how to clean the window going up in between the two window panes.  Does anyone remember what the trick was?

@Lucky Charm , I have gas as well.

I will be following to learn how to clean the glass.  I asked a repairman once and, based on his reply, I think it is pretty involved.  LM
