if I find a recipe I can't live without, or article I put them in my reading list on iPad. I have not more than 15 in there. But other wise I don't keep. Also, on iPad you can bookmark. It's so easy I can do it. Because I won't do anything that requires a notebook, or making a file. Lol

If you want them all in one place how about one of those folders with pockets?

Well, it works for me.
What do you do if you have to remember something?
For papers,I actually have only one small tote bag for all the papers I save, including all medical info from my whole life, car info, insurance etc., bank, shopping etc so I feel pretty organized. I go through things pretty often. I hate to have papers I don't need.

@AngelPuppy1 - I used to spend hours printing and keeping emails I thought I couldn't live without. I don't do that any longer, and I have tossed hours of my time away!
But when I do research I often find things I like and want to use later. Sometimes I compose an email to myself and put it in my "save" folder, and it might show up in our service someday!
I didn't have luck with my Word file. I switched from HP to Apple and they transferred that folder. I can open it, but everything shows up in symbols. Also, I like to make cards with the Hallmark program DH used to give me every Christmas. Apple doesn't want you to use Hallmark; they want to use THEIR program!
I use my yearly weekly planner too. It has two pockets in the front and the back. I keep all of them in my office in a side cabinet. I also use folders with 2 pockets and label them.
I don't use my phone or my iPad. I'm afraid with my luck I would delete something!
This is just for my research and little things I find. Recipes have a life of their own. I have an email folder they all go into. I still have recipe boxes too and will keep them! I have helped with a lot of community, church, and school cookbooks. Our favorites are probably in one of those! ![]()

I honestly am so appreciative of all the ideas and tips that everyone has been so kind to give! A lot of very good ideas! I am not a person who uses my phone or computer a whole lot, so I don't think putting a lot of this stuff on either one will be good for me.
I think I might get a binder with dividers and make headers with different topics. I like to have things readily at my fingertips and for me this might make more sense. When I see something in a periodical or a magazine or newspaper, it's usually a scrap of something and I just rip it out. Also, I might hear something on t.v. and I scribble it down. As for important things, like appointments, etc., I have a very nice memo board that I keep up to date in my bedroom and this has been invaluable to me. Right now, sorry to say, I have a very untidy pile of clippings on my dresser and my coffee table of things which I have wanted to keep and didn't know where to place them and didn't want to lose them.
Thank you all! Yes, I think it is a good idea to try and de-clutter whenever possible!

I just adopted a steno pad. I'm going into that. It'll be a mix of stuff, but I'm so tired of things keep occuring because we're getting older, and I may need to pass on, or refer to something. Need it all in one area. This way, if the power goes out, my notes don't have to stop till the power comes back on.
