Last night I was reading through the Community Board and someone had written about her husband passing away and she was not prepared for what happened re financing, passwords, in general all that her husband "took care of." It was very long post and I could not print it from my tablet. Looking through the CB tonight, I could not find that post and really want to print it. I'm another one who depends on my husband for so much. We sort of take each other for granted in the best ways. So if anyone can direct me to this post, I'd be so appreciative.

My late DH and I had a list of all p/words, kept in a place known only to us.
In this day and age I can't imagine spouses not sharing this info "just in case."

@Love my grandkids We do too. I add to the list every time a new password is added. This list really comes in handy when we have to access a password that was created some time ago. We have visited our banks to be sure there will be no problems if one of us passes. All vehicles etc are registered in both names.
We had a friend whose husband died unexpectly early. She has had so many issues that she has had to hire two attorneys and funds are tied up that she has no access to...he had his own business. It has been a nightmare and spurred us into action regarding trusts, etc.

My husband thinks he can remember his passwords and does not write them down. I want to murder him, but then I could not get into some accounts.LOL No seriously, while he's still with it,I want him to write those passwords down and put them with our important papers.
