When you travel, do you like staying in other people's homes?

My husband is making plans for us to visit his cousins in Ohio this summer. I love them dearly and want to spend good, quality time with them, but I'm insisting on staying in a nearby hotel.  I don't like overnight guests in my home, though I've tolerated it when necessary, and I don't want to impose on anyone else. He thinks I'm being unreasonable.

Any thoughts?

I would rather stay in a hotel, too.  If it's just a couple of nights staying with them might be fine, but any longer I would feel like I was imposing on them.

My husband is the same way.  He likes staying with friends.  I do not.  I like getting up early, going to bed early and I don't want to feel under pressure to socialize.  I am willilng to put up one person for a couple of nights in my own home but if there are 2 people, get a hotel, have your privacy and come and go as you like.

Definitely hotel room for me, or I wouldn’t be going.

ONLY in hotels.  I need my own space and time at the end of the day.

I agree.....hotel for us and hotel for guests.  Too much constant togetherness.
