When do you switch from A/C, and to what setting?
I have an extraordinary, continually raining going on now, and humidity factor here too. Just wondering..
TIA ![]()

Think it's hard to say as everyone has their own comfort level and depending where you live. I had my A/C turned clear off for awhile when there was a cool spell here but now the heatwave is back so it's running all the time again. Again it's individual as I don't like it really blasting and cold but certain members of my family do and keep their homes very cool.

Since we have window units it all depends on the weather. I have been sleeping with it due to allergies

We got several weeks of fall here and I was able to turn the a/c off and open up the windows during the day. Our weather is back to hot again and the a/c is back on. I keep it at 77 though because I don't want to be cold in the house just comfortable.

I live in the So CA desert and I keep my AC on 78 during the day and 76 at night (I like it cooler when I sleep). My AC goes on around March or April and has been known to remain on almost until Thanksgiving, believe it or not. Crazy hot weather here with an extremely long summer and very short winter and a virtually non existent fall. My AC is still on.
I do use heat in the winter, keeping the thermostat at 70. But it doesn't go on often since the winters here are extremely mild.

We live in Oklahoma. We have central heat and air, and go from one to the other all year long basically. Our AC is on and ready to go all year, don't shut off heaters they are ready to go all time too.
We keep house at about 76-77 in the summer. Winter about 72 if I remember.

@retiredatlast One of my nephews lives in a So. California desert. I do not believe he has a heater. I've been there in December-January. Average temps between 75° - 80° . Living in the NE I was
