My list has gotten smaller over the years, so now I call my friends so we can have a chat . I like this idea, better than writing To and their names and then Merry Christmas with our names. If they are not home ,I leave a holiday message.

i have been saying this for years now......that is why i stopped mailing cards. i much prefer to do a holiday phone call and try to catch up with everyone between christmas and new years. i can hear their voice and really have a nice "visit" with them over the phone.

I stopped sending cards 12 years ago.

There was too much going on that was more important and something had to go.

I hope to work on them sometime this weekend.  The key word is "hope".  Each year I seem to send a little less.  But, I still love getting them and I stll enjoying sending them out.  I am sad that so few people seem to be doing them as times goes on.  Getting a text or an e-mail is just not the same!!!!

When do you mail out your Christmas Cards?  I usually mail them on December 15th  Smiley Happy

I don’t. I even used to make my own cards but that became too costly & time consuming. And buying seemed expensive when I received fewer each year.

I put a card in with gifts I mail to my family but that is about it.

@NickNack I mail mine early so I don't get caught up in the season and forget.I think it is nice to have them right after Thanksgiving....otherwise they don't get much display time.

DH has the primary responsibility, 97% of the cards we send go to his family and old childhood friends.  I'll go downstairs probably this weekend and fetch the cards so he can get started.  Will mail first week of December.

I have a strange system - I mail the "back east" cards first and then the West Coast cards and finally the in state cards.  I will start working on them this week-end.  I write a personal note in each one so I just do a few a night.  I love going to the mail box during Christmas (and my birthday) to see what surprise is there!

I stopped doing cards more than 20years ago and I don’t know a single person she does send them.
