Would you rather see your choices staged/ocupied or empty?

It does not matter to me as long as the home is clean.

Staged.

I do not have a good eye when looking at empty rooms since they always appear small to me.  I did tour some occupied homes that were a turn off for me since they had so much personal stuff and occasionally cooking smells.

Empty.............that way, I can judge whether my own furniture will fit

I actually would rather see it empty.  In good condition and yes --- clean!!!!

Staged, because they get rid of all the clutter.

Empty, so I can visualize my own furnishings in the rooms, especially if the occupied home has too much 'clutter'.

Empty..  I only bought 1 house.  When we bought this house 34 years ago, it was empty, and we could only look in the windows.  It was a  VA Repo. We only looked at houses we could rehab.
