my hubby does the exact same thing. the thing that really bugs me, is he'll be talking about a engine/car/mechanical thing that i know nothing about.  When i'm feeling fiesty, i like to answer, "no, i do not know what you mean".  

maybe i should talk about "female things" and say the "know what i mean" to him.

@Shanus, no my dear.  Have had to tell those first few words too much lately to my little Yorkie.  "Don't be afraid".  Said it a lot the last few nights.

@dex: That constant phrase was really upsetting DH. DH was the one that saw the M&M commercial about custom decorated candy and told me to place the order! When you spend 3 hours  or more with SIL and every other word is-actually, very irritating. SIL brags that it makes her sound more intelligent and we told her - not. She said not so because she went to high school with a rich girl and she had a lot of friends but she used the word a lot.😳 Southern Bee
