im sure this has been discussed before but when I hear repeatedly  on a fashion show,the sizes hosts are in,to me,its almost like bragging.yes,most all of them are tiny,but to keep repeating it is a little overkill.do these hosts have a gym trainer, chefs to cook healthy meals?I guess that's why everything that they have on,looks darling.just wondering

@Luvsmyfam I've watched Denim & Co. for years and Carolyn is far from "tiny." She states that she wears a large and sometimes an extra large.

I see a couple of hosts who I am sure lie about their sizes but I honestly don't care.

Years ago Jane T. used to drone on about how she was an XS. Not these days LOL.

I refuse to judge myself against models or tv personalities that have much more money and opportunities for fitness training than I do. That have a complete different gene pool than I do. That have a completely different health history than I do.

I am who and what I am.

I don't care whether they are thin, or whether they are lying about their sizes (which often comes up, that some do). I don't care if they are large or small, or in between. I feel no need to judge them, or myself, based on their body types/sizes/conditions.

Women really have to move past that.

I wear a 6 or 8 depending on the brand in most clothing I buy in stores. I find that if I buy according to my measurements on QVC the clothing is too big.  I have better luck with sizing on HSN.  I wear about the same size as Coleen alhough proportioned differently, but I can at least get a idea when she is on how something might look on me.

Pants are a different story though.  I have larger calves, so if a pair of pants look good on a host, I know I can't wear them.  Totally forget about pants that skim their legs.  I don't want pants that stretch to fit me into them and those super stretchy pants generally don't even look good on a lot of the models.

I could diet for the rest of my life and I would never be as small as many of the hosts.  I'm just not built that way.

@Luvsmyfam

They may be bragging...but it seems more likely they just say it every time because lots of people only see them every now and then. I've also noticed that somebody always seems to complain if they don't tell the sizes they are wearing. It's repetitive if you see a lot of the videos, of course.

I think lots of the hosts are small women- and many are women who start with body types that are not prone to accumulating fat.  They mention their size repeatedly not to brag but to give the millions of other small women an idea what size they are wearing.

doesn’t bother me - my body type doesn’t lend itself to wearing xxs no matter what I weigh.    What size I buy depends upon what fits. sometimes it’s a10, but it can be a 12.  Sometimes I buy a medium, sometimes a small.  Those numbers are true whether I am buying QVC or locally choosing among a variety of brands

My size and weight are of no concern to anyone but me and my doctor.

That said, this has been my year of No Excuses when it comes to my weight/ appearance/ health. Tired of watching others win at the weight loss game, I am all in since last June and have no intention of quitting for at least another year. A gym/ personal trainer are not the answer. Great sacrifice is.

What we do not change, we accept. I have accepted for too long. Time for change.

To each her own.
