I rarely throw out food that I buy. I am a good planner and eat everything before it spoils.

I really, really try not to.

We haven't had most of the grandkids here this summer, but many times they wouldn't finish something.  My husband or their mother or dad would finish whatever it was--usually.  But can't do that now, either.

I just threw away a bunch of strawberries, forgot about them---don't ask!

I hate waste and that goes for more than food.

I try not to waste food but I'd guess about 10 percent.  I can always find one item in the pantry that expired.  My pantry is much too full right now.  I do eat leftovers.

I used to stop by a grocery store about 3 times a week and get food for a couple of days.  Now that I have a grocery delivery scheduled every Friday I get the food for that week.  I do not buy as much fresh produce as I did before and I am also not going out to dinner and/or lunch a few times a week so I am spending less and wasting less.

Hamburg and hot dog buns, need to be sold in smaller packages.  I know I can separate and freeze it, but he won't eat it then.  Thinks it's dried out.  Oh me.
