One friend wants to post an older pic of her Mom that passed away 10 years ago on her facebook, on Mothers day.
She asked me if it would be a not nice thing to do since her Dad is remarried to a wonderful lady. Or if I thought it was ok.
I told her that it is a pic of her own Mom and I feel it is totally fine to post it.
She doesnt want to offend anyone. Her kids are on FB but her Dads wife is not on FB.
Does anyone agree or disagree?

I agree its fine.

@CherryHugs I think it's not only perfectly fine, but a wonderful tribute to her Mother. Her Dad remarrying has nothing to do with it. It's her Mother and always will be and that's between the two of them. I was raised with good manners and consider myself kind and considerate, but the older I get, the less I really care about what other people think. Life is too short, post the tribute and do your heart some good.

That is absolutely fine, and touching and I bet her dad's wife would not but distressed by it even if she were on FB.

It sounds like you are trying to be a caring friend. Good for you. But my personal take is that such a decision needs to be made by your friend without reference to her friends' opinions. She hasn't said why she wants to post this pic enough to feel worried it's not a good idea. Only she can answer that. If it's what her dad with think, he's the only one who can answer that.

I do not see a problem with honoring her mother on Facebook for Mother's Day. It is a personal and emotional decision and remembering one who has passed is a sign of love and cherished memories.

Tell her to do it.
She is showing love for her Mother and wants to share it.

It's Mother's Day , not Stepmothers day , so of course it's fine .

I don't post any pictures on FB....but her mom has transitioned and I think this gesture is kind and thoughtful.
