I think it would be more valuable to have make-up lessons for women 50 and over.

Hey @Katcat1!
How's about some for old men, and more specifically, it stays on when sweating(perspiring for the ladies) like a pig when ice skating? I look like he!! once I get to my workout phase of skating, and yes, there are some elder ladies that skate there every Wednesday. One of which worked at my old place of employment.
She remembered me when I did all the Annual Corporate Cup work. I thought she looked familiar, but gentleman do not approach ladies and say "don't I know you"? She actually started the conversation, but I typically, lengthened it.
She and her husband, he was management I was a p'on, both entered the Race many years when I worked on it, even for years after I retired. Thankfully, she and her 2 friends left before I fell and broke my rib. Then 4 months later she says "where you been"? I did make that a very short topic.
Anyways, always a story ya know, back to the Mens touch-me-up for crazy old fa*ts like me that forget we are chronologically old!

It cosmetics already caters to that age group. This is why her line has been so successful. She tapped into a market that wasn't there.

That might be take all the fun out of make up. I think all he make up brands on all the shopping channels are made for the over 50 woman...we are their prime demographic.

@ccassaday, Little did I know until I found out at ULTA that IT Cosmetics is a full coverage line. Ugh! I tried it not knowing and it was horrible -- so thick, no thanks. I thought IT was for really covering up certain flaws Iike birthmarks, etc.

@Natasha218, I don't feel it would take the fun out but rather give mature women the right shades of blush, eye liners, etc. I see some senior women in my building with black eye liner and it does not look good. I want to reach out and say soften up your look but it's not my place.

@makena, When you see over 50 gals still wearing black eye liner and the wrong color blush you wish there was somewhere to specifically go to for the right choices. That's how I feel but you have your opinion too. Most makeup is geared toward younger women and mature women will look silly if they think they can wear some of the younger makeup.

@blackhole99 wrote:I agree, makeup is makeup, the Q just has to use more mature models when they demo the makeup. At 66 I do not identify with a 24 year old model with big lips and no lines or wrinkles. I think we need to see vendors who are more mature demo the products on models who are mature. I will only believe a product will work for me if I see it on a mature model. Also, same with skin care.
@blackhole99,WELL written!
