QVC has hired 3 new hosts when they don't even use the hosts that they already have??? Why??? Just more $$$ for salaries.

The majority of their hosts are literally on air 1-2 days per week. It's ridiculous for what they are being paid. Personally, I would love to see more of Elise, Alberti, Rachel, and Dan. I think Ali is adorable!

A weekly "fashion" show with Elise and Alberti would be awesome- NOT D&Co, SG, LOGO..... I am referring to stylish clothing (they desperately NEED new brands!).

Shawn, Courtney, Amy are on a ridiculous amount of time- They are obviously the heavy hitters! I can't watch Amy anymore and turn the channel.

I'm guessing that some of the "older" hosts don't want to work so many hours and have negotiated their contracts to reflect that.

@Tinkerbell3    What would be the source of this "stylish" clothing you want to see?  Lol.

I thought they had 2 new hosts?  Anyway, we have no idea what their long-term plans might be.  Maybe they're going to resume overnight broadcasting or Q2 programming or something else.  Eventually some of the older hosts are going to want to retire.  They have to plan for the future, not just today.

@Tinkerbell3   You overlooked JT's amazing number of onair hours.

@Tinkerbell3 - How would you or anyone else know how much these hosts are paid?  Unless you have some secret, insider information that the rest of us aren't privy to?

An example of what is available in the public domain:

Isaac Mizrahi

On February 24, 2020, the Company entered into an employment agreement with Isaac Mizrahi, a principal stockholder of the Company, for Mr. Mizrahi to continue to serve as Chief Design Officer of the Isaac Mizrahi Brand. The term of the employment agreement expires on December 31, 2022, subject to earlier termination, and may be extended, at the Company’s option, for two successive one-year terms (each, a “Renewal Period”).

Mr. Mizrahi’s base salary shall be $1.8 million, $2.0 million, and $2.1 million per annum during the term of the agreement and $2.25 million and $2.4 million during 2023 and 2024 if the term is extended, in each case, subject to adjustment in the event Mr. Mizrahi does not make a specified number of appearances on the QVC channel.

Mr. Mizrahi shall be eligible to receive an annual cash bonus (the “Bonus”) up to an amount equal to $2.5 million less base salary for 2020 and $3.0 million less base salary for 2021, 2022, and any year during the Renewal Period.

It would not surprise me to learn that the new hosts are paid very little to begin with, until they prove their worth.  In that respect, it would be wise for them to hire more lower paid newbies and cut back on some of the higher paid heavy hitters.

Those who sell the most get the most air-time. But they'll have to train and use relative newbies to carry the torch.

Some of the older hosts may be going part-time.

Hosts spend an incredible amount of time NOT on-air.

He's not a host.  He's a designer/vendor.
