I have no one to tell, so here goes.

I took my 1997 Ford Thunderbird in to have smog.  They could not do it because of a Vacume something they saw that would not allow the smog to be done.

So in the car to the mechanic I go have the car taken care. They fixed it and was kind enough not to charge me. Then back to the smog place and it passed.

A customer had found a watch I was getting repaired and gave it to the receptionist.

In my confusion, I left the watch on the counter.  They called me to let me know. I'm so exhausted, I will go back tomorrow.

I went to pay the bill on using my Amx charge card.  They don't take that.  Had to go home and call in a different charge card.

As most of you know, I am quite elderly , almost 90. and have no help, but I meet so many kind people everyday.

There are good honest, helpful people still in this world and I always encounter at least one or two a week.

Just needed to tell my adventure today.

@qvcaddition,My goodness, an aventurous day for you. Sounds like you get around. BTW, I don't know what you mean by smog. Is that an inspection station?

Inspection for emission control which is required in many states.

@qvcaddition Good for you, for getting out there and having the required fix for your T-Bird, then passing your smog test. I imagine this is an annual test like emissions tests and inspections at my location? If not, what is it?

I always hate to have vehicle repairs, or inspection days. As a woman, I feel out of place amongst all the men mechanics. And, I always feel they may not be either reliable, maybe dismissive, or over estimate needs to blow up the cost.

It was refreshing to read your post, that you were treated very kindly. It IS fun to run into caring people in our day to day activities. There seem to be fewer of them these days.

BTW, I had an awesome T-Bird, too. Fun to drive and a beauty.

@qvcaddition @Some days are just like that. Thank goodness for the everyday kindness of regular folks that we all run into as we live our lives! Sometimes I think people just don't understand the wonderful impact that even a small gesture of kindness can mean in the life of another. Glad to hear you're getting around so well!!!

@qvcaddition

I envy your T-bird. I've had two, the last one was traded in for a Road Runner.

You had an eventful day that gave others an opportunity to aquire positive karma and  turned out well for you.

@qvcaddition

What an ordeal!

I'm so glad to hear you had luck with finding some kind people.

It's easy to be kind to other kind people. You must be very kind yourself.

I'm glad you were able to get all that accomplished today!

Sounds like you are doing great at almost 90!

Now rest up , sounds like you need it after that day (I would!)Woman Happy

@qvcaddition   Wow!  Almost 90 and still driving!  I gave it up when I was 65--hated driving.  But would love a Thunderbird!

My husband's cousin is 90 and she gets speeding tickets.  Can't imagine!!

Yes, there are a lot of good people in the world.  They just don't get the press that the bad one do.
