When I was 17, and in high school, I was in “love” with a musician in a rock band.  Yep, he was the one I was going to end up with.  Hilarious!

He was a bass player, and so talented, and I tried to follow his every move, which was so hard before the Internet, etc.  Had to depend on teen magazines.  I was crushed when I learned he was married with 3 kids, with a fourth on the way!!!  What?!!

Fast forward 45 years!  I looked him up after hearing a song of his on the radio.  He died 10 years ago!!  His name is/was Kelly Groucutt.

Ten years!!!  I was so saddened to learn this news.  I’ve been crying on occasion thinking of him.  What I’m really mourning is my youth, I think.
