The first few that spring to mind are Sue Grafton and Glenn Frey. Kinsey Milhone is one of my favorite characters and I would love to have had “Z”. Glenn Frey and The Eagles are and have long been an important part of the songbook of my life. His talent was incredible. We still have Don Henley.

Robin and Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees. And their brother, Andy Gibb, as well who died way too young.  I get sad thnking of Barry being the last surving sibiling.  Such a  talented family!

Edited to add, Ms. Joan Rivers and I saw a previous poster mention, John Ritter.  Yes!

Joan Rivers.  Joan died (er, was killed) not long after Robin Williams committed suicide.  I mourned Robin so much but for some reason when Joan died it hit me harder.

She was such a talent, I loved her clothes, her prior years doing standup, ADORED Fashion Police.  I also admire her philanthropy, and what's not to love about a girl from my home with a sharp wit and Brooklyn accent.

I saw her on Johnny Carson on Antenna TV the other night and it again struck me what a great loss her sudden death is.
