Nothing special.  Spouse golfs in a league that day (Monday) so maybe out to eat when he gets home...or maybe not.

Re: What Do You Do For New Years ?

I'm walking across the driveway to spend the evening enjoying drinks and nibbles with my neighbors (not the nosy ones). They told me "it's a fancy evening - so wear clean sweats!". My kind of party!

DH is usually glued to TV football on NY Day so I make pork tenderloin, hoping' john and cornbread. We stay in on NY Eve and enjoy being safe and warm while others party. I think our NY Eve party days are behind us now. No desire to be out on the roads.

Re: What Do You Do For New Years ?

For many years two friends and I would reserve a room at one of the hotels on the grounds of a casino an hour away.  It was good bc all hotels on the grounds provided free staggered shuttles so all you had to do was walk outside the back of the casino and wait till one showed up and it'd drop you off at the hotel front door.  That got old and years later BF and I would just stay home, build a fire and watch TV.  He died earlier this year and I just stay home and take it easy.

I think I much prefer the quiet time at home to the frenetic pace and crowds that were in the casino!
