We have been so blessed in SE Massachusetts to have had several glorious days of sunshine with a bit of warmth but no humidity.

I already took my fur daughter for a nice walk and took her for a ride which she loves. She is now in her dog bed, soaking up sunshine.

I've been doing housework all week so am taking a bit of a break and enjoy the weather and read a bit. Later I'm making a nice chicken, mashed potato and veggie dinner for hub and myself.

My plan for the day is to just make it through the day since I am grieving for my long haired Doxie that we had to euthanize last Thursday.  I was his person and losing him is very painful even though I know we did the kindest and right thing for him at the time.  It doesn't make it hurt any less.

Even though I am retired, I reserve my weekends for relaxation, fun and time with the family.  I do not do chores or housekeeping on weekends.  Sometimes I don't even run the dishwasher.  Earlier today I went to our Farmers Market.  Picked up some fruit and salad veggies.  After that I met two friends for coffee.  Hubby had to work today.  I don't do a lot of cooking but I'm going to make a pan of lasagna and a salad for dinner.  I'll do some reading.  I have a new J D Robb book on my Kindle.  I'll put my outfits for next week.   together.  There's a Netflix movie that hubby wants to see.  I don't recall the name.  We'll watch that together this evening with wine and popcorn.

@Jk9 I am sorry for the loss of your fur baby. It is such a deep hurt. Knowing you did the right thing for your little guy doesn't make the grief any less. Take care. We are thinking of you.

@bikerbabe Been there, done that, when I was younger and it was not the ordeal it is now.  So I'm delighted to be at home not trying to park and fight 90000 people to sit out in the broiling sun and wait in long lines in the bathroom.  

Happy to be here SUV in the garage, iced latte at hand, husband in the den upstairs with the tv on, and me cool and comfy, doing whatever I take a notion to do!  LIFE IS GOOD!

Will be putting up Fall decorations. I do my porch first and it's done. Next is inside but I don't put up that much inside. I love Fall and it's a beautiful day. We will be going out to eat. That's always a treat. A local diner that is very old but the food is good.
