Re: What 3 Things Do You Remember About Your Mother?

My mom put her love for family above all else.We always came first.

She taught me that I'm enough & that I don't have to prove anything to anyone .

She would get tipsy even if she only had a tiny sip of alcohol.

I lost her to cancer over 20 years ago.I miss her everyday!

Re: What 3 Things Do You Remember About Your Mother?

My mother loved her work, was good at it as a Bellevue NY trained RN working for the chief of surgery at a Bay Area Hospital.

She was devout and volunteered her time at the church as an altar lady, made prizes for the annual church festival, spearheaded the fund raising for a new chuch when the old one burnt down.

She loved my father to pieces and my favorite memories of her is when her face was beet red, crying laughing as he knew how to make her laugh.

She was a pistol.

Re: What 3 Things Do You Remember About Your Mother?

She loved her family.  Treated all of us the same. (She was an only child and lost both parents by the age of 20.)

She loved God and lived her life accordingly. (I tell people my mom was as close to a Saint as I've known.)

She never complained about taking care of my dad in the home for 9-1/2 yrs after a debilitating stroke.  She refused to put him in a home.

I often wish I could be more like my mom.

  • Mother was a Christian woman with a strong faith.  Her favorite scripture verse was from Isaiah 26:3.
  • She was beautiful inside and out.
  • She had a wonderful alto voice and shared with me her love of music.

Note:  She died when I was just 11 years old.  I missed so so much.

Mom was a gentle soul.  Kind to everyone.

She made the best lemon meringue pie...and sticky buns.
Always dressed nicely.  Loved her "rouge".  😊

She was artistic and loved flower arranging.

This is a great topic!

I miss her smile.

I miss her hugs( the best)

I miss her cooking.  I have not had a great pound cake since she passed. I've had some really good ones but not as good as hers.

I miss her so much. However this post made me smile,  A great big old toothy grin!

thanks friends for sharing! Sending big, big hugs!🤗🤗

  • She was a fantastic cook.
  • She was the hardest worker I ever knew.
  • She believed she could do anything she set her mind to, and she did.
