There's just way too much emphasis on "the wedding" and you'd think after two weddings/marriages ending in failure that the bride would want to stop the circle of failure by trying something different.  Like eloping.... just a thought even for the unsuperstitious....

I don't know, I was just so thrilled and elated at finding my soul mate that I really didn't care where we married.  As it turned out, we married at a Chapel that seated 40, had cake and champagne after the service and my Mom and her friends made the best food at the reception at our house!!  41 years come March.... Woman LOL

Wow, she must be butt-deep in wedding gifts by now.

As to Scrooge?   I don't think so.   IMO, it's kinda tacky to keep on having these huge weddings and, I'm only assuming here, expecting gifts.  After the first time, especialy over such a short period of time, it seems odd.  I'd either do something very small and request no gifts, or just do the 'elope' type of thing.

Hope you have a good time and maybe this time it will stick, eh?  Smiley Very Happy
