I never had dance lessons as a child. As an adult my husband and I had ballroom, round, beginning, advanced and challenge square dance lessons. They served us well for many years as we would dance 4 evenings a week once the children were grown.

Did you ever take tap, ballet, or any other type of dance lessons? For how long and did you get to perform in front of an audience?
Ever been a Rockette? Wow can't imagine that one!!!
I never got to take lessons when I was young, we couldn't afford them. I really wanted to. I was always dancing around on my toes and twirling around! I had friends who got to take ballet, jazz, tap, etc. I was so envious of them!!! I still am very envious of dancers! In high school I was on our dance team which I loved but never had any training. Later on when I was old enough to get into clubs I would dance for hours and hours! I have to say that I always had good rhythm and dancing was one of the most enjoyable things I ever did! Sadly now I can't do much of that moving and grooving due to health issues!

I took ballet at a prestigious ballet school. When we moved out of the area, the director kept calling my mother because she felt I was very gifted and had a lot of promise. I sometimes wonder, what if.

Met my husband at a dance. We won every dance contest together. That was our 'thing', dancing. But lessons, no, my daughter took all dance classes for 13 years.
go go boots, now there's a blast from the past @Annabellethecat66

Yes, I took ballet, tap, and modern dance as a child. Now, at 70, I'm still dancing. I go to aerobic dance three days per week and Zumba every Thursday. It's a great workout that's loads of fun.

I remember when I was very young my mother put me in a dancing school for a brief time. I'm not very coordinated and I'm sure they told my mother to save her money. I never went back. NO - I can't dance!
She sent me for music (piano) lessons instead ... and they turned out to be rather successful.
ETA: In high school - rather than PE, we had ballroom dancing. Those lessons didn't turn out very well either.
