SG  often mentions that one of her customers told her that she "washed her liquid knit 1000 times, 2000 times'"

I got to wondering .... how often would that person have to wear the item.

1000 washings .... If my calculations are correct .... if she wore the piece once a week and washed it after each wearing .... she would wear it for 19 years and 3 months.  (1000 times / 52 weeks).

Some of the caller comments are hyperbole. They want

attention.

Some of the hosts and vendors also deal in hyperbole.

The sad part is many believe it.

I have three pair of liquid knit slacks that I have worn for about 14 years.  Washed multiple times and still look good.

In R and D and QA fabrics are laundered many times. I believe there are machines that will simulate exactly how many times a fabric has been laundered.

My liquid knits I wore for years and washed them often usually after one or two wears.  They never faded, fell apart, ripped seams or pilled and lasted years.
