It was a lie and a forgery.

@Tori3569 Yeah...but careless. I have looked for my "package" all over the neighborhood, at night, with a flashlight. Kinda dangerous...only to find it the next day in my mailbox... di
Edited to add: My mailbox is NOT at home. I have to drive there. If I wanted to get in the car, I would have gone to the store in the first place.
Where your mailbox is located is your choice.
@CalminHeart Actually, it is NOT my choice. Phoenix postal workers do not walk a route.... (It's the weather.)
It's your choice where you live. You chose to live somewhere without a walking route, whether it was choosing the city or location or a place without walking routes. Fyi, my sister has lived in Phoenix for 25 years and her mail is delivered to her house.
@CalminHeart I live in the mountain preserve. Phoenix has MANY geographically different neighborhoods. Your sister is lucky!

It's not a forgery. No one signed your name, the driver just clicked the button saying someone signed for it. This is over the top for a simple error. No comparison at all to being in X Ray school.

Yep. I got one of those the other day from USPS. Certified letter that needed a signature. "Unable to deliver. No one home."
Uh, I was in the house all day and like yours, my dog goes nuts when anyone comes up the driveway let alone is at the door. The mail person never even attempted to deliver. I had to pick it up in town the next day myself.

@Tori3569 You are absolutely correct. Carrying on about a package that was left in her mailbox is way over the top in my opinion. In this horrible heat I am thankful that there are people who still deliver. The Amazon driver made a mistake big deal. It happens.

It was not a forgery because no one signed for the package. The heat must be making some posters irritable.
Hopefully, this doesn't happen too often. Computer mistakes happen. Time to move on.

This happens with Amazon, UPS, FedEx, etc. It may have been a new driver or they hit a wrong button on their screen. The delivery drivers in general are in a hurry. If this is not a recurring issue then it was probably a mistake. You can always contact Amazon to make them aware. In my experience the Amazon drivers always take a picture of the package on my doorstep. Did they not take a picture of the package and the delivery location?

You are utterly ridiculous. No ine lied to you. Do you even know the true definition of "forgery"? Someone made a tiny error. Hit the wrong key. These drivers are under a tremendous amount of pressure with deadlines. Things happen, it's life. Must have thought you were off your rocker contacting about something so ridiculous. You must have a tremendous amount of free time, nothing else to worry about. Consider yourself very, very fortunate.

I thought maybe the Amazon driver knocked down the mailbox and ended up at the front door. Well, today is Thursday.
