Shanus:  You have described me to a T.  I detest small talk as I find it terribly shallow and meaningless and also avoid it at all costs.  Just a lot of people yapping and no one really cares what you say.  A total waste of my time.  I am also an introvert and prefer the company of my DH and my dog.

Describes me to a tee - over the years I've taken those personality tests and was always off the chart extrovert and probably still considered one.  However as I've gotten older I too PREFER to be alone.

I have had best friends most of my life. They have passed and I don't want another at this point in my life. We will be moving near my son and his family which will be nice. I have been blessed with a nice and caring daughter in law. Will see more of my granddaughters and the dog. She is one of a kind. Failed puppy school but we love her.

This reminded me of the time we did this at work. I answered that I twirled baton. Another answered that she missed being homecoming queen by 3 votes. When everyone guessed that one was me she got really upset. I couldn't believe that something like that would get to someone so many years later. SMH
