@EarthAngelInTrain it's okay to boast yourself - sometimes we have to toot our own horn!

I'm in the same boat as @LindaSal ! I worry constantly! I second-guess all my interactions in the hope that what I said or did was acceptable to another. When I was younger, I was much more forthcoming about my opinions. Perhaps it's all about "legacy" and what others will think of me when I am gone? It's a curse!

Also, my "best" is good enough...even if it's not up to other people's standards.
I was going to say the same thing. 👍🏻

Now that I'm "older", I don't mind running around without makeup. When I was younger, I wouldn't be caught dead without makeup in public.

For me:
1. Not shaving my legs more than once a week.
2. Not caring what others think about the way I dress
3. Not being able to do YOGA the same way I did at 50
4. Always saying exactly how I feel
What about you?
@Shanus I am the opposite of that I guess.
1. I worry more about grooming and being as particular about it as I always have been. I make a point to keep up with trims, shaving and hair washing more now than ever--I am old and I have things that need more attention. Fortunately I have time to do it.
2.I worry a lot more about what I wear than I did when I worked. Working? Suit or nice pants and jacket. So now I want to look nice and put together but for my retired years (not always dressy, often without makeup for a quick run but still nice). Don't want to look like an old fool or wear worn jeans and a t-shirt from a 70's rock band.
I want to present myself as an elderly woman with good sense and some good sense, some style, taste and intelligence.
3. I never did yoga, don't care about yoga. I eat better and am more careful about not hurting myself. So I an conscious of my age and limits. And insist my husband NOT get on a ladder.
4. I have seldom been afraid to say what I think. And working, it was my job even if the opinion wasn't popular. I try to temper it more now.
I am one of those people who try not to hurt someone's feelings, but doesn't shy away from my fundamental beliefs and standards (I'm sure many folks reading this who "know" me are saying--Yes you need to put a lid on it!!!!!).

More lids for some, less lids for others. Not you, @Sooner , of course!!
I don't worry about what others have or don't have. But I'm not sure I ever really did.
For me, I still want to do everything as well as possible. I don't worry about it, but I still try.

I thought about this and realized I will never change and basically I still care about everything I always have cared about @Shanus .
A good example was the past few months I have had numerous hospitalizations. I wore makeup everyday, fixed my hair, and wore earrings and my wedding band. I just felt better about all of it dealing with some scary diagnoses. Recovering and still making myself walk daily, I hope to stay exactly the same.
