Sorry if you alredy addressed this and I missed it .... but why haven't you just called your landlord or building manager? 

If you're renting, there has to be SOMEONE you call for problems.

My worst fear is of COCKROACHES...especially after one got in bed and crawled up my leg.

I screamed so loud and long they probably heard me in the next zip code and thought I was being murdered.

@Tinkrbl44Are you kidding me?Landlord does nothing but lines his pockets with rent money.Im so fit to be tied and would give anything to get a good nights rest.Instead I lay in bed thinking about it

@Luvsmyfam ... I forgot to mention that peppermint oil put on cotton balls...throw them all around your home and it may exit quickly out the nearest hole. Mice HATE the smell of peppermint !!

Also notify the Board of Health @Luvsmyfam . They will inspect your apartment @paixmcdao and fine your landlord if he doesn't exterminate the vermin.

You still need to notify your landlord. Aside from the present problem, preventing more from returning may require a fix that he has to do. As someone else mentioned, you need to document it if your landlord isn’t particularly helpful.

@Luvsmyfam  Actually if this is  your worst fear you are very lucky.  I can think of worse.
