In a call out to Shanus, ECBG said she had a blood clot @Kachina624 ."Calling Shanus, August 6". Among Friends.
@Trinity11. I'm very concerned as the story seems to have changed; perhaps HER diagnosis?
She hasn't answered any question I've asked her yesterday or today which makes me wonder if she's completely alone. Yesterday I asked if her blood pressure had been checked and she never answered. Extreme fluid retention can be an indication of congestive heart failure. It must have been extreme if she couldn't walk.
Where is her husband and family?

@Zaimee wrote:@ECBG You said that you were starting Eliquis on 8/4.
Swelling and pain in ankles are a side effect of this medication. Call your prescribing physicians office.
Maybe I missed siomething but are you signing yourself into a rehab facility? Don't you need a physician to approve this?
Good luck. I hope you get the proper care and on the mend soon.
Still having swelling, the med didn't work quickly.
Please read the update. Thanks.

@ECBG : You have a good support group in your family, DS, DDILove (per your posts), and DH, so please let them help you.

This sounds very serious, @ECBG. It can be hard for a family member to know what to do, let alone the person needing help. I strongly recommend that your husband call 911. The EMTS will respond promptly.

@ECBG if your husband is holding you up he can put you in the car and take you to a medical facility right now.
You have good hospitals in Asheville.

@ECBG STOP posting on the board.
If you have family near and are able, get in the car and go to the ER.
If you are alone, call the ambulance.
