Re: Update ECBG

[ Edited ]

@Zaimee   I read about the nosebleeds too.

All those things are more serious than what  physical therapy could address and could indicate issues not within their realm of expertise.

ER seems to be the correct place to be, especially since that was the recommendation.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.  OP is going to do as she pleases.

Three threads, countless poster replies and drama, nothing has changed.

The OP will decide what is going on and how to handle it.

I hope she gets the help that is needed.

@ECBG  I do hope you take the advice that has been given and you go to the ER and maybe you have as I haven't read all the replies.  A blood clot is serious and symptoms should not be ignored.  I ended up in the ER a few weeks ago from pain in my lower leg and I could not walk.  The first thing they did was an ultra sound.  Thankfully it wasn't.

Personally I would not wait for rehab to contact you.  I would go to the ER or call your Dr.  ER's will do so much more than take your vitals.  Please seek help at a hospital.

Many years ago my husband had gotten a swollen leg & knee.  I took him to our primary and the first thing that the doctor said was to go to the ER just to be sure he didn't have a blood clot. Fortunately it was not a clot but a result from having chronic Lyme.

You just never know and I can't see the harm other than possibly wasting a few hours by going to the ER.

 Better safe than sorry!

pardon me if I missed the info in the countless posts- but has the OP actually had a diagnosis made by a physician? Or is she self-diagnosing based on assumptions and limited knowledge?

She had imaging that confirmed a blood clot, claimed she could not walk, nose bleeds, breathing difficulties and on oxygen, pain (threads on all symptoms) and wanted to check in to a facility(separate thread for that). Two health care providers told her to go to the ER (according to her) but she hasn't. Her husband said she didn't need to. She is using a walker, on a blood thinner, pain pills and oxygen.

This information is from various threads in the past week @smoochy .

@Trinity11  thanks for the highlights. Sounds like she is going to do what she wants regardless.

The er can't do anything but check vitals and give shots or x rays.  I need none of that.

WRONG. The ER does a lot MORE than what you posted. SMH.

Oh, mySmiley Sad

@Trinity11 I missed the bit that the husband didn't think a ER visit was warranted.  😳🫤
