Being a dog owner, you might enjoy the Instagram page called "upsdogs". It shows UPS delivery people in a more positive light. Many of them carry dog treats in their trucks. It's amusing to see the reaction of the dogs when the truck pulls up. They would probably go crazy if the driver stops every 2 houses!

One time we (dog and I) were sitting outside and the UPS man had a delivery for our house. I said just leave the package at the curb. Our dog likes to bark at the UPS and Mail people - he is not a people dog but is not an attack dog (collie).

After UPS drove away we went down to pick up the package and there was a dog treat on the package. Now this dog would not take a treat from any stranger no how no way. Well, dog ate every morsel and was looking for every crumb. I would love to know what UPS was handing out. Sometimes - should say many times, dog won't eat treats we try and give him.

Will check put UPSdogs. Thanks

I went to UPS dogs - there are some funny photos. I liked the one about Oscar the UPS trainee. The uniform was too funny.

I know my UPS driver is out late at night making deliveries in the dark.  At least now, the driver who delivers to my office has a "seasonal helper" who brings in the packages off the truck and the normal driver is doing the driving.  With so many people buying on-line now, it must be a hard job, especially this time of year.

@drizzellla  If you can't speak to the driver who left the treats, try these for your dog. These are my dogs favorite treats out of all the ones I've tried.  They come in small but they have the same in large size.  They look and smell like a soft cookie and are available at Target or Walmart.  You can get their story at the Threedog website.   Or just look up Three Dog Bakery.

Here are the ones that I get (the larger size).   Soft and chewy just like a soft cookie.IMG_0221.JPGIMG_0222.JPG

CA Cable girl   -   THANKS!

You know my dog picked up the treat so fast I have no idea what it looked like.

I will try them. Thanks for the picture.

It is funny I bought dog treats for my dog. I thought he liked them but was informed by my husband that the dog will not eat them. OH GOOD - after I bought 2 containers. So they are not opened - so I will stalk the UPS driver this week and give them to him.

I got a delivery every day last week. Watch this week, I don't have any.

I've had such great UPS drivers this year. The other night, I heard the truck pull up. One person ran to my back door, while the driver left with the truck & delivered to another house. They met back in front of my house in about 1 minute, & off they went.

Pretty smooth!  Heart

My son works for UPS and often doesn't get home till 10:00pm.  The newer guys don't seem to last long so the experienced ones are taking on the extra work.  The work load is unbelievable and not only at this time of year.  I don't think many of the workers can last until the usual retirement age.

@HiLo

You are so right.  My nephew is a UPS driver and has already had two knee operations before the age of 50 due to the job.

I can easily see that. They're like delivery athletes!  Smiley Happy

I worry about the female delivery people this time of year. They deliver here after dark, leave their truck, then get back in. There's so many drug-taking creeps walking around here, & that worries me. Then there are the goons who follow the trucks looking to steal the packages left on porches.

In this case, I'd worry about the male delivery people as well.

My UPS guy jokes with me about the bobcats he always sees on my property....and they are harmless to humans.  We both know it.  I'd say he has a good route.

I finally met our NEW permanent UPS driver a week ago.  Oh my good lookin, young & very personable ... too bad I'm not getting many packages this month!!!😉  I might have to rethink it!!

Actually, I met him at 8:45 pm when he was delivering - he actually rang the doorbell!!!

My packages have always arrived in good shape & all my deliveries have always been left right near the front door (sometimes nicely stacked) I can only say I've always had great service.

Now USPS that's a different story!!!!
