I was out with my dog in our frontyard. He likes to sit/stand and look up and down the street at kids, cars etc.

Well a UPS truck came up the street. I am not kidding. The truck would deliver a package, he would get back in the truck , go up 1 or 2 houses and deliver another package, get back in the truck go up another 2 houses and deliver a package.

In fact the other day a UPS truck went up our street and about 5 minutes later another UPS truck went down the street. Tis the season.

Those people really do get their exercise this time of year.  Sometimes I still see them delivering after 7:00pm.  They must be so pooped by the end of the day!

Being a dog owner, you might enjoy the Instagram page called "upsdogs". It shows UPS delivery people in a more positive light. Many of them carry dog treats in their trucks. It's amusing to see the reaction of the dogs when the truck pulls up. They would probably go crazy if the driver stops every 2 houses!

One time we (dog and I) were sitting outside and the UPS man had a delivery for our house. I said just leave the package at the curb. Our dog likes to bark at the UPS and Mail people - he is not a people dog but is not an attack dog (collie).

After UPS drove away we went down to pick up the package and there was a dog treat on the package. Now this dog would not take a treat from any stranger no how no way. Well, dog ate every morsel and was looking for every crumb. I would love to know what UPS was handing out. Sometimes - should say many times, dog won't eat treats we try and give him.

Will check put UPSdogs. Thanks

My son works for UPS and often doesn't get home till 10:00pm.  The newer guys don't seem to last long so the experienced ones are taking on the extra work.  The work load is unbelievable and not only at this time of year.  I don't think many of the workers can last until the usual retirement age.

@HiLo

You are so right.  My nephew is a UPS driver and has already had two knee operations before the age of 50 due to the job.

My nephew is a UPS driver. Not an easy job.

And at this time of year it is not unsual to get a delivery at 9:30 at night.

This time of year, what they do here is drop a guy off at one end of the block with a hand truck filled with the packages to deliver.

I just received a heavy box delivered by UPS.  I went out to meet the delivery person, it was a 20 something girl and she was struggling with the box that wasn't taped shut.  I'm glad she didn't deliver a big TV to me.
